Flowers For You with The Character Cafe

Note: Softpencil Blog Hop below

OK, now who doesn't just love a beaver?! Especially one bringing flowers...well, he could be stealing your flowers? I'm wondering this little guy's intentions!

Happy Friday with The Character Cafe. It's challenge day over at the Cafe Blog, so make sure to join in for a chance to win your very own TCC digistamps.

I used a great layout from Card Patterns (#65). The brads are "fake", the digistamp is from the Cafe Store colored with Prismas and Copics, nesties and shading with Ranger Tea ink.
So make sure to head to the challenge blog for more inspiration and fun! Also, I hope you will visit the rest of the super talented design team - blogs to the right --->

Miss You with The Character Cafe

Hello and Happy Friday! The challenge this week at The Character Cafe challenge blog is a recipe:

2 Buttons
and a Tag

Using only two buttons was difficult for me since I like to work in threes, but once my OCD subsided, I was OK.

Isn't she sweet? I love images that remind me of my Bean...but she's no angel I tell ya! Details: miscellaneous DP from unknown stacks...more using and less collecting is my new motto!! Digistamp from The Cafe colored with Prisma Premier markers, edges inked using nestie and lipstick Ranger Ink. The little tag is from Plantin Schoolbook at 1" plus shadow, and the green checker die-cut is from Accent Essentials at 2.5" plus shadow.

This card meets the following challenges:

So join us this week at The Character Cafe for your chance to win. Also, check out the rest of the DT for MORE inspiration. Their blogs are to the right ---->

Just Chillin'

Just a quick post of another adorable Cricut cut from Create a Critter. I really need to look into all the accessories on this cart...this is one of my new favorites.

The layout is from Mercy's Tuesday Sketch MTSC74. I'm not used to so many layers, so I gave it my all! The paper is from long long ago...from Walmart. I haven't shopped there in several years, so this gives you an idea of how long I've had it - I'm trying to destash a bit and use up paper - as opposed to just collecting!

What do you think of the googly eyes? Too much? I hope this guy doesn't look too Christmas-y. I was hoping to send it out as a "just because" card.

Bear-y Sweet

Isn't this little guy so sweet? I left my card without a sentiment so I can add one later. You would think with all my posts that I'd have piles and piles of cards hanging around ready to be mailed out....and you'd be right!! But there is always room for one more.

There's a color challenge over at Just Us Girls to use red, white and blue, and my first thought was something 4th of July like, but I think it works for an all occasion card as well.

The digistamp is from Designed 2 Delight, colored with my new Prisma Premier markers (still practicing with these), papers are from my fav pack Magnolia, brads, PTI kraft, nesties.

Hoppy Birthday with TCC

Hoppy Birthday!!

Happy Friday. Friday's are challenge day at The Character Cafe. Half of the DT follows the TCC challenge and the rest of us go out into blogland. BTW, the challenge this week at TCC is:

For my creation, I have chosen the cute Frog set, that can be found at The Cafe Store, and birthday cards are on my list...since I never have one when I need one.

I used M's Just Chillin DP, nesties, chalk ink, digistamps from TCC colored with Copics and Bics, PTI CS, buttons and thread.

So play along this week for a chance to win digistamps from The Cafe. Also, don't forget to check out the rest of the DT. You can find their blog links to the right ------>

This card meets the following challenges:

Vintage Water Can

So I picked up this cute little freebie digistamp at Designed2Delight. I love checking out new digistamp artists, with all the different styles out there, I'm never at a loss for great images.

The background paper is actually a paper bag I got during our last trip to the Tea Room. I loved the bag and knew I could put it to good use. The ribbon is $1 Michael's bin, nesties, and I colored my image with copics and Prisma Premier Marker - I got a huge set from my DH for Mother's first time trying them out.

OK, is anyone wondering why my bow is sideways? Well I liked it that way, PLUS, can you see "Curtis Brothers" on the paper? It's an ad for undertakers, caskets, and funerals! I didn't realize that when I cut the paper! So I just HAD to cover it somehow.
Thanks for stopping by. I'm turning in my prospectus today, so I'll be done with school for the summer! Woo-Hoo!!

Bug Hug

I should have been working on my final last night...but stress makes me want to escape! So here's my creation:

For this card, I used the adorable Bugaboo digistamp, colored with copics and bics, the row of flowers are from Walk in My Garden Cricut cart cut at 1.5" (using Border), g glitter glue on the centers (but it doesn't show well), the sentiment is from Pink Cat Studios (a freebie), DCWV Glitter Mat Stack DP, ribbon.

I thought she was too cute. I've been into kid stamps lately. I guess because they all remind me of Bean...not that she has wings or anything :)

Thank You Teachers

So last week was Teacher Appreciation week and there I was again, at the last minute, trying to make a little something for Bean's AWESOME teachers.

Using Doodlecharms, I cut the apples at 4", once in green, once in red, and the stems in tan. I inked everything! The stamp is Stampin' Ups Circle of Friendship. These are great all occasion stamps.

This is the back of the giftcard holder. I cut another in red and glued it on just around 3 edges so I could slip the card in. Had I thought to measure the giftcards first, these would probably look different :) Oh well, that's how I learn.

And this is the front. Bean loves giving her teachers gifts...especially in the form of small rocks.

Hello and Good bye

You say goodbye, I say hello....This is AiFactory's farewell to the "old" DT and welcome to the new DT blog hop! First, let me mention that this post is being brought to you today by the letter:

So please make sure to start from the beginning, collect all the letters, unscramble and send your answer to Angie for a chance at a great prize...all details below!

DT members are working with different digistamps, and today I am using the rock climbing set. Bean saw this and said, "that girl is climbing the rock, but it's slippery! She has to watch out." She's got a GREAT imagination.

I printed the "rocks" on digipaper from Pink Petticoat, the digistamps are AiFactory, colored with Bics, the rock is crumpled up CS and inked with chalk inks, and I added flowers just for a splash of color. On the inside I plan to add: Girls Rock (climb)!

The next stop on the hop is: MONICA

Blog Hop Details:
  • Leave a comment on EACH blog for a chance at a $20 Gift Certificate to the AiFactory Store. Once comment will be chosen at random from one of the blogs.
  • Collect ALL the letters at each blog, unscramble, and send the phrase to Angie for a chance to win a $10 Gift Certificate. One comment will be chosen at random from all the correct entries.
  • Freebies along the way!! Some DT blogs have them, some don' make sure to check them all out so you don't miss any!

Snail Mail

I have so many Cricut carts and so little time. I feel like I need to take a vacation for a week just to craft....I have sewing to do, cupcakes to make, a house to organize. My darn job keeps getting in the way of life! But I'm so blessed to have such a great job.

I love the Sentimentals cart. Just looking through, there are so many cuts that match puns. I cut my little snail at 1 3/4" (on flip) and the grass is from Plantin SchoolBook (Fit to Length 4 1/4") once regular and once shadow...but I ended up staggering it so it'd look like more grass.

The sentiment are individual stamps using my Stamp-a-ma-jig...this took the longest! I added a little white pen, inks for shading, and a ribbon. Papers are from my fav paper pack that I always forget the name of. Layout is Mercy's Tuesday Sketch MTSC72.
Don't really know who this is going to just yet. I've been organizing and cleaning my room and this snail was calling me :)
