Wish Big Birthday Bear

Hello all and happy Thursday! Almost October and already there is a chill in the morning air. I LOVE it! Quick share since it was a quick card :)

I happened to come across several challenges that all seemed to work perfectly together. The stamp is Pollycraft colored with Prismas, sentiment is Stampin' Up heat embossed in light pink, round nesties and Lipstick Ranger Ink, swirls Cuttlebug folder (lightly sanded), bling and sewing.
I really like this one. Know how sometimes a card is "eh it'll due" and once in a blue moon something turns out just as planned? No? Just me huh? Well, I like it!

Happy Birthday Monster

Hello and happy Wednesday! Here is a card I made for my Auntie Diane. Her birthday is in October, and she's also a crafty lady. I've been sending her my handmade cards from the beginning and she was so inspired that she got her own Cricut and now makes papercrafts! And you should have seen some of MY first attempts! LOL! I would not have considered them to be "inspiring" at all!

A while back, Dustin Pike had a sale and I just had to have these little guys. He's colored with copics...I went a little outside the lines because I was busy watching Bean go to "Target" on her 3-wheeler.

I used two different Cuttlebug folders, sentiment is Inkadinkado, sewing. Note to self: stamp sentiment BEFORE embossing! I also added glaze to teeth, eyes, and balloon.

Post 1 of 2

Hello all and hope it's a great Tuesday. First, I'd like to share a pic of my new camera!

I'm so excited! It has two lenses, is a digital SLR, takes 3 frames per second, and hopefully will be with me for a long time. I'm still learning the ins and outs. BTW, it's a Sony alpha330 and was on sale at Costco.
Now, here's a card that was supposed to be posted on Friday, but I lost the original pics, so I took new ones with my new camera.

The challenge over at The Character Cafe is a SKETCH! I flipped the sketch and used one of my favorite TCC images. Colored with Copics and shaded with Fired Brick Ranger Ink.

I sewed the ribbon for added dimension and the snowflakes are Cuttlebug dies. Hopefully in this pic you can see a little of the 3D effect.
You still have til Thursday to enter the sketch challenge!

Welcome Baby

It's already Thursday! This week has gone by SO fast. Last night I worked on my Yudu and this card...I didn't have any success with the Yudu, but hopefully I'll have something to show soon,

I really like the colors I chose for this one. The image is Quackers by Revi Devi Paat - but this is a sneak peek and won't be released at Squigglefly till Saturday. I colored it with Bics, added a couple rhinestones, and put glaze on the waves and ducky parts.

Other details: Mustard Seed and Faded Jeans Ranger Inks, Me & My Big Ideas DP, sentiment is Stampin'Up's Short & Sweet. The layout is The Pixie Cottage, #37.

I also want to share with you a Squigglefly sketch challenge going on over at Paper Craft Planet. It's a sketch with a "twist" and from what I understand, there's a pretty good prize involved!

Boo Kitty

Hello all. Today Beanie wore her orange sweater with a pumpkin hood on it to school. She doesn't care that it's not Halloween yet.

Quick share: image is Designed2Delight colored with Copics, nesties and Spiced Marmalade Ranger Ink, Me & My Big Ideas DP, scraps, sewing, lots of glaze on pumpkin and letters. Don't forget, if you use this digistamp in the D2D challenge, you get the next digi for free!

What I learned from Bean yesterday: "it's fall and the soft leaves turn to crunchy leaves and turn different colors." I LOVE the way she thinks she's teaching ME something.

Dear Santa

Aloha! Well, I'm back from Hawaii and still catching up on laundry. I had a great time, the weather was beautiful, a little hot and humid, but nice. Our hotel was right on the beach so we would open the doors in the morning and just watch the waves come in. But it was exhausting and now I need a vacation from my vacation.

Anyway, last night I managed to get a little crafty. I think this is Christmas card #5. Considering it is officially Fall, I need to step up my game and get workin' on my cards!

Dear Santa....I can explain

This cutie is from Character Cafe, colored with Copics and Prismas, shaded with chalk ink. The DP is Me & My Big Ideas Christmas stack, and the stars punch is Martha Stewart.

The snowflakes on the DP is raised and soft. And strangely enough, the sweater matches the DP IRL but seems more green in the pic. Oh well. And don't forget, you still have a few more days to get in on the current challenge over at The Character Cafe for your chance to win a free digi.

Welcome Baby

Hello all. Quick share for you today featuring a sweet bear from Designed2Delight.
I used this color combo, same DP and everything, not too long ago...but I thought it would be perfect for a baby card. So it's not that I'm getting lazy, I just like the DP :)
Deets: D2D image colored with Prismas, nesties and Dusty Concord Ranger Ink, sewing. Layout is Splitcoaststampers SC179. As always, you can get a free digi from D2D every week if you play along in the challenges...check out the Challenge Blog for more info!

My Favorite Squigglefly

Today over at Squigglefly, the challenge is to use your favorite Squigglefly image. That was difficult for me since they have so many! I was torn between the bunny and the rooster...and the rooster won.

But really, how can you resist this cocky little guy? A few details: Me & My Big Ideas DP, Squigglefly image colored with Copics, nesties with Fired Brick Ranger Ink, Stampin' Up Sweet Shapes sentiment, and sewing.

The layout is Splitcoaststampers SC167. Hope you get a chance to join us this week at Squigglefly for a fun challenge!

BTW, I'm still in Hawaii having a GREAT time (I can't see the future, but I don't see how I couldn't be having fun right?).

Hoppy Halloween

LOL! Just thought of that pun now! That would have worked great with this little character!

This is Trix E from The Character Cafe colored with Copics. This was actually really quick to make and I was so excited to finally use my Martha border punch that I've had for a few months now.

The layout is Splitcoaststampers SC22. I added sewing and shaded with Spiced Marmalade Ranger Ink. The sentiment is a $1 acrylic set from Michaels.
Today a new challenge is posted at The Character Cafe Challenge Blog. I hope you will take a look and join in the fun!!!

Dragonfly Praise

Hello all. I've had this image printed for a while now and finally decided to put some color on it. By the time this posts, I should be walking off the plane in beautiful Hawaii!

The background paper is Pink Petticoat (these circles come in a variety of colors and is one of my favorite backgrounds...no I don't represent PP in any way LOL!). The image is Designed2Delight colored with Copics and I took a small dabber with Mustard Seed Ranger Ink to shade the inside. I was going for sunlight.
The sentiment is Praise by Roann Mathias over at Squigglefly. I did a little fussy cut around the image, added Liquid Pearls and put on pop-dots. Sewing as usual :)
Super quick and I think CAS as well.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope everyone had a fun and safe Labor Day weekend.

CAS Dracula

Hello and happy Saturday. I've got a quick share today of a CAS (clean and simple) card using one of Dustin Pike's images. I recently got it in a super deal he was running last week.

I considered putting a sentiment, but I just couldn't figure out where, so I've decided to stamp "Trick or Treat" on the inside. Digi is Dustin Pike, colored with Copics, 3D dots, ric-rak, PTI. That's it! Hope everyone is having a GREAT weekend!

U Rock

Hello all and Welcome to Friday with The Character Cafe. Today I'm bringing you one of the new releases for September as part of our monthly BLOG HOP!! Woo-hoo! Let me introduce you to Rockin' Fredrick:

First, card details: papers are MMe Wild Asparagus (I've used this for the past few cards since it's out on my desk and versatile...and I'm too lazy to pull something else out). The layout is from Splitcoaststampers SC296 (LOVE it!!). Lots of sewing on this one, but it really doesn't take long at all. Sentiment is individual letters from Inkadinkado. Image is TCC colored with Copics, nesties, and Faded Jeans Ranger Ink.

Isn't he just rockin'?! This little guy is going to Rhysie who is turning 3 years old this month. He's having a super cool party this weekend at one of those places with huge blow up slides and jumpers. Bean is super excited...still a little sick, but excited. Me too because adults have just as much fun.

So, next on the hop is the talented Angie

Women's Work

I absolutely LOVE the From My Kitchen Cricut cart. And of course I'm joking about the "women's work" title. Although one thing I would love to do is sit in the audience at the Martha Stewart show. I ADORE her.

There are so many great cuts on this cart that just scream "retro." This was cut at 4" in blackout, shift, layers, and shadow. I used chalk inks to shade all the pieces. The paper is a digipaper freebie from Digital Delights and the sentiment is computer generated (I placed a text window on top of the orange/yellow paper before printing - so I only printed once). I added a few gems for fun, sewing, and pop dots.

I really like this one. Nice and simple. Still trying to determine the inside sentiment....

Gettin' Dirty....With you is so much fun
Gettin' Dirty....is how I like it

Any other ideas? I was thinking something a little "frisky."

Summer Monkey

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday! Exactly one week....so next Wednesday, I will be on a plane to Hawaii!! I plan to see all the sights, and I'll probably look much like this little monkey in the ocean since I don't swim. Hmmm, I wonder if they even make cute tubes big enough to go around my pansa (tummy)?
This digi is from Designed2Delight colored with Copics and Prismas. I used Mustard Ranger Ink for my "sunny" background, sentiment is from a $1 Michaels acrylic set, sewing, MMe Wild Asparagus DP, added a few brads, and there's glaze on the "fishing ball" (I'm clueless about fishing terms) and glaze on the waves.
This little guy will go in my stack o' birthday cards, since I'm always low on them. BTW, at Designed2Delight Challenge blog, you can get a free digi EVERY week if you use the current week's freebie in your creations. Check out the blog for more info.
