Breastfeeding Necklace

I love browsing Etsy and  I really enjoy handcrafted items.  I've had my eye on the gorgeous glass beads made by DeniseAnnette for the longest time.  But if you don't grab what you want right away, someone else will!  So this time, I acted fast and got me this little guy:

He came beautifully packaged and is a wonderful size.  The colors are nice and vibrant and I love his little heart.
So what did I make with him?  Well, my subject line gave it away: a breastfeeding necklace.  I didn't really know what these were but thought I'd make one anyway since Sprout has fast growing, razor sharp nails.  He has absolutely no sharp areas and has so much texture!
It's as easy to make as it looks.  I spent more time finding the wooden circles.  I finally found them at Joann's in the curtain section.  So I put it on at feeding time and it was a success!!  You never really know if things "work" or not, but Sprout immediately grabbed on and kept those little nails busy - and I walked away without scratches!

I will be linking this up with Tatertots & Jello, Flamingo Toes, Skip to My Lou, and Inspire Me Fridays.

Let's Play

Hello all and Happy Friday.  It's especially happy for those of you who like freebies.

Today, Bugaboo is offering up, FOR FREE, this little AKV soccer player!  I especially like that it's a girl because we hope to get Beanie into the sport.  She loves to run, but there really aren't any track teams out there, especially for little ones.
I went with a really CAS layout from Splitcoaststampers.  Then I tried to add flowers...didn't like it.  I brought out some bling bling.  Nope.  Oh forget it!  It is what it is!  LOL!

Thought I'd show how the card really "works."  That's what I liked about the sketch.  But I think I want to try it again.  Anyway, pick up your freebie today!  And head over to Catch the Bug  to see some REAL TALENT using this image.

Oh, I also want to mention that OLGA was chosen by Random.org as my winner in the Christmas in July Bugaboo blog hop!!   Thanks Olga, and everyone else for hopping with us!!

Friendship Bear in Orange

Hello and hope you are having a wonderful weekend!  Bugaboo is sponsoring this weeks challenge over at Come And Get It:
BINGO
For my card, I went with: Buttons, Free, and Flowers:
I'm using the adorable Teddy - Plain Teddy, and the sentiment is from Stampin' Up's  Garden Whimsy.
I also added a little glaze and sewing.  I know he looks a little concerned, or maybe even a little sad, but I prefer to think he's in a state of contemplation.  He's probably trying to decide which flavor of ice cream is his favorite!  Thank you for joining me and have a wonderful week!

WRAP IT UP WITH A BOW
Wondering where my bow is?
Yeah, well, I obviously wasn't paying attention.  Do the bows on the image count?  Probably not.  Oh well.  But the good news: it's FREEBIE FRIDAY and this little guy is up for grabs at Bugaboo Stamps!!
The sentiment is from Stampin' Up's Petite Pairs and the layout is Splitcoaststampers SC65.  I added a little bling (just a few crystals on the DP), glossy accents, and sewing.  Thank you for stopping by and hope you're enjoying all the challenges.

This will be entered in the following challenges:

Christmas Angel

Hello and hope you had a great weekend.  Today's Christmas in July Challenge over at Catch the Bug is:
NON CHRISTMAS IMAGE
This was a fun one for me making me think outside the box.  I used Jesse Bear Angel for my card:
Without the sentiment, I wasn't sure if it was Christmas-y enough, so I made sure to stamp the outside using Stampin' Up's Petite Pairs.  The layout is Splitcoaststampers SC73 with a little added flourish.
I added a little glitter on the wings and some glossy accents.

Inside Out with Ice Cream

Hello all and Happy Wednesday!  Today I'm sharing a card for two challenges that are being sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps:

The first is Crafting for All Seasons:
 ICE CREAM/POPSICLE

I used Birthday Penguin - Ice Cream , a little kraft, and a touch of sewing:
The second is the Digital Tuesday challenge:
INSIDE OUT (decorate the inside of the card too)
Going off the drips on the ice cream cone, I used a Martha Stewart border punch, more sewing and Stampin' Up's Teeny Tiny Wishes for the sentiment.  Thank you for visiting today and stay cool!

Silhouette Card Set

Hello and happy Saturday!  Today a new challenge has been set at Catch the Bug:
ANYTHING GOES
I really like the silhouettes at Bugaboo and have been wanting to make a set of cards for my little cousin:
I used the Silhouette - Elephant for two cards:
And I used the Silhouette - Butterfly for the other two:
They each have a different sentiment just for variety, but are pretty much all occasion.  The papers are from  Pink Petticoat, and I added just a touch of sewing but was going for a CAS look.  She lives far from all of us, and I hope these will help her stay in touch with her friends.

Cookie Boy

Hello all.  Wow, I've been gone for a little bit huh?  I didn't even realize it's been a while since I last posted (thanks for checking on me Sandy!).  The heat must be getting to me!  Well, I'm still around.  Been trying to be productive around the house.  That's code for cleaning and de-cluttering!  I can't believe how much stuff I have accumulated!
Anyway, allow me to share a CUTE little cookie boy card kit with you.  And for the record, chocolate chip cookies are my fave and I have perfected my "high altitude" recipe.  The stamp is from Bugaboo and is part of a kit that includes images, sentiments, and papers.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you are enjoying your summer so far!
