Pumpkin Patch

Hello and Happy Saturday.  Today starts the latest challenge at Catch the Bug:
Holiday/Seasonal (Autumn/Harvest)
So I went with a Pumpkin Patch!
I also tried to go a little CAS - even with all the sewing, but I'm not sure I really pulled it off.  The idea was "different" in my head.  I'm not going to say "better."  Just "different."  The sentiment is from Stampin' Up's Teeny Tiny Wishes.

Well...that's it!  I feel like I'm forgetting something.  I NEVER have such a short post huh?

Bugaboo Freebie Candy Cane Gingerbread

Hello all and Happy Friday!  Today I'd like to share this weeks FREEBIE FRIDAY from Bugaboo Stamps!!  Here she is:
My little tag was super easy to assemble and I think it will make a nice addition to a Christmas gift this year.
The paper is from Pink Petticoat, I put the sentiment on top using different fonts, colored up my Gingerbread Girl and popped her up, and added a bow.  So make sure to snatch her up while you can!!

Lovely Mouse

Hello all and Happy Thursday.  Today I'm sharing a card using an older, but much loved Bugaboo image for Oldie But Goodie day at Catch the Bug.
I'm a sucker for cute mice...especially a Girl Mouse with an adorable little outfit!  I used layout SC79 from Splitcoaststampers and the sentiment is from Stampin' Up's A Word for You.
Here's a little close up just for fun.  She looks a little surprised.  Maybe she's wondering who stole her cheese.  Either way, I think she's adorable.

Mummy Scene

Hello all and hope you had a fantastic weekend!  Mine was super busy, but the girls had a great time...and I think I caught a cold.

Today I'm sharing a new release from Bugaboo Stamps.  It's called Scene it Mummy.  I colored the background in Fireworks (an image editing program like Photoshop).  I printed it out and colored the rest with Copics.
I wanted to show off the image more than anything so I made it the main focus of the card.  I used Stampin' Up's Teeny Tiny Wishes for the sentiment as well as some Cutlebug dies for the "BOO."

**********************************
Also just showing off a couple pics of my girls from this weekend.  Sprout's onsie reads: "I make chunky thighs look GOOD!"  I wish I could get away with a shirt like that!
And Bean...well, I just LOVE her soulful eyes.  She's is growing up so fast and I fall in love with her more and more every day.

Winter Boy Bugaboo Freebie

Hello all and Happy Friday!  Yay, we made it!  Today I'm sharing this week's Bugaboo Stamps FREEBIE Friday!

Here he is in plenty of time for a jump start on Christmas Cards!
I created a text box in Word, inserted the Little Dots paper from Pink Petticoat, placed my AKV Winter Boy image on top (it remains white filled so I could color it), then placed a sentiment from Scrapnfonts.  Printed it all out, colored it in, and die cut.

I've been playing around with backgrounds lately and can see this becoming a new way of life for me!  LOL!
So enjoy your FREEBIE and have a most wonderful weekend.  My DH will be on a retreat (he's a board member for Bean's school/our church), so I'm going to be EXHAUSTED trying to keep up with Bean and Sprout.  Send a prayer my way!!!

Here Fishy Fishy Fishy

Hello all and Happy Wednesday!!  Thank God it's hump-day.  It seems like the week just started, but I'm already running low on time to accomplish what needs to be done!

I've been wanting to use a Doodle Pantry image for a while now, and have finally gotten around to using one of their gorgeous pre-colored images.
There was something about this FREEBIE fish that hooked me.  Get it?  Hooked me?  Anyway...I'm still waking up, so my humor isn't the most humorous.  There are plenty of DP images that are not already colored, but I've been wanting to use this guy for a while.
I opened a text box in Word, added color along with "shading," then placed my fish on top.  My scallops are actually just 1" circles, and I finally got around to using my trusty sewing machine again.  So this was a purely for fun card!

Hope you are having a great week and thank you for stopping by.

Halloween Skelekinz Treat Bags

Hello all!  Hope you had a great weekend.  I know we're still a month away from Halloween, but this is turning out to be one of Bean's favorite holidays!  So I'm doing my best to celebrate along with her.

Today is ABC (Anything But a Card) day at Catch the Bug, and I'm sharing the treat bags I put together for Bean's teachers.  I used the Halloween Skelekinz Topper, and just for perspective, the top measures approximately 2 inches by 4.25 inches.  I think it's a good size for a small chocolate treat.
Here is a close up.  I fussy cut and did a couple layers.  The sentiment is from Stampin' Up's Teeny Tiny Wishes (used two different stamps that I thought fit the occasion).  Hopefully they will like it!

I will be linking this up with Tatertots & Jello, Flamingo Toes, Skip to My Lou, and Inspire Me Fridays.

Cat with Attitude

Hello all and Happy Saturday!  Today I'm sharing a card for the latest challenge over at Catch the Bug:
I've chosen: button, stitching, and tearing.  I'm also using a Halloween image from Bugaboo Stamps because his expression was just perfect for the sentiment!
The image is Goofy Halloween Cat - Sit, and the sentiment is from Create with TLC.  The layout is from Splitcoaststampers SC71, and actually included the torn corners, so it was perfect!
Here's a close up of his attitude.  Not knowing I was allergic to cats, a couple years ago, we adopted a black cat from the pound.  That thing acts like she's the master and we the servants.  She's NOTHING like a dog!  Such a disappointment of a pet.  My husband insists her attitude is GREAT!  Whatever.  I'll stick with my boys (dogs).  Note: of course I treat her well and say all this with a grin on my face.

Thank you for visiting.  Update: Another reason to not like my cat: she just ate a hummingbird!!

Candy Corn Mummy Bugaboo Freebie

Hello all and Happy Friday!  And of course, every Friday, Bugaboo offers up a FREEBIE.  This week it's Mummy with CandyCorn.
Yummm, Candy Corn.  At our Target, they sell Caramel candy corn, so they are candy corns that taste like caramel and have different colors but are still made by Brachs.  When those come out, I really get in the Fall mood!
The "BoO" uses a Cuttlebug die from way back.  The colors are more Fall than Halloween, but sometimes I get tired of the traditional orange, purple, green.  So don't forget to pick up your freebie and as always, I appreciate your visit!!

Movies with Bugaboo

Hello all and hope you're having a stellar weekend!!  We will be going to a birthday party today, and have family dinner tomorrow.  A little busy, but I know we will all have fun.

Today at Catch the Bug, the latest challenge has been set:
MOVIES
So make something that is inspired by a movie.  Can you guess what my movie is?
The Crow!!  LOL!  This little Crow in particular is only $1 and great for fall.  The sentiment is Stampin' Up's A Word for You.  This, along with a gift card to Texas Roadhouse, will be going to our neighbors who were kind enough to watch our dogs while we were in Disneyland.  They're a really great family.

Off to clean the house for dinner tomorrow.  I'm making enchiladas, beans, and rice!  Yummmm!

Halloween Bugaboo Freebie

Hello all and Happy Friday!  And there's nothing like a Bugaboo Freebie to make things even more happy right?
Well, this week, Bugaboo is offering up this FREE Halloween image - which is great for me so I can get a jump start on my Halloween cards and goodies.  I know there is plenty of time still but I always have these grand plans and never accomplish a thing!

So here is my card.  Like the ticket?  I got it for free at SgtStamper - look under her freebies link.  So this is officially my first Halloween card.  Just a few more to go and hopefully I'll actually get them in the mail in a timely manner....oh yeah, I also tend to make cards and never get them mailed out.  I'm such a dork!

Shrink Dink Big Sister Necklance

Hello all!  Guess where I have been?  Jury Duty!  And guess what else?  They put 12 of us in a room and we couldn't come to an agreement.  Yup, a mistrial.  They said they don't see that happen often, but we managed to be just stubborn enough.
Anyway, let me share something I made for Beanie.  And can I just tell you ssomething: she is the best big sister ever!  What I did: I opened word, created a "text box," inserted my images (a ticket from MyGrafico and the lovely Ava Dancing from Bugaboo), inserted the text, and printed it all out on Shrinky Dinks for Inkjet.  I used really light Copic markers to color, made hole with Cropadile, and shrunk with my embossing gun.
I let her pick out the beads and she loved it.  And here are my girls.  Sprout LOVES her big sister.
Thanks for stopping by and hope you've had a wonderful week!
