Helping Friends Gruffies Valentine Card

Hello!  Today I'm sharing a card for a few challenges.  Honestly, I'm not a big Valentine fan, but I do my best to be festive for my girls for most holidays - including this day of "love."

This year I made a card for my bestie (who is also single) and I plan to surprise her at work with a  box of chocolates.  With her kids all grown up...well, I have a feeling they are so into their lives right now that they might forget their mama.  So hopefully I will put a smile on her face.  Of course I'm not going all lovey-dovey, but I have the required red, heart, and inside reads "happy valentine's day."  Sentiments are from a Stampin' Up Paper Pumpkin kit and that scribble heart is a Sizzix die cut.

This Gruffies stamp is SO us.  We might not see each other often, but we are there for each other in times of need....or when we really need a margarita!

Deacon in the Rain Birthday Card

Hello and hope you are having a wonderful day.  We have a busy weekend to include Bit's first piano recital!  I'm so excited!  She's 5 years old and just loves music.

Anyway, today I'm sharing a card for the latest Catch the Bug Blog Challenge: photo inspiration (please check blog for photo).

I actually tried water coloring for the background!  I was attempting for a random look, but found it hard to not be so deliberate about my painting.  Hopefully it looks "artsy," which is what I was going for.  The image is Bugaboo Stamps Deacon Rain, and the sentiment is from a Stampin' Up Paper Pumpkin.  I would have to say that I would definitely try the water color thing again.

Pastel Birthday Puppies Card

Hello and happy weekend!  This weekend, I have plans to continue cleaning.  I have grand plans this year to destash and organize.  I have no difficulties letting go of things, but finding time to do so is difficult.  Especially with two energetic girls and an elderly father to care for.  But they come first and the house can wait - but I can still have my grand plans!

So this week at Catch the Bug, the challenge is Bingo (see link for Bingo board to play along)!

My adorable image is Bugaboo Stamps Birthday Puppies and my Bingo consists of Diecut/Players Choice/Dots and Stripes.  The sentiment is from Stampin' Up's Itty Bitty Banners.  Added a touch of glaze and called it done.  I actually think this came out quite cute!  Ever have creations you love and some you just want to pretend never happened?  Well, this one is a keeper!

Enchanted Dragon Carousel Birthday Card

I'm featuring a stamp from Lacy Sunshine titled Enchanted Dragon Carousel.  I personally think she came out pretty darn cute!  I added a few die cut flowers and a sentiment from Stampin' Up's Itty Bitty Banners.

Chubby Butterfly Birthday Wishes Card

Hello and hope you had a wonderful weekend! I was fortunate enough to have a three day weekend, and was able to get some much needed things done around the house as well as spend quality time with my girls.

Anyway, this week at Catch the Bug, there is a big Bugaboo Stamps celebration going on.  So every day this week is a new challenge.  Saturday was the kick off with Bold & Bright Birthday Wishes!

So I'm definitely going bold AND bright!  A little colorful for me, but it was a nice change of pace.  I'm featuring Bugaboo Stamps Chubby Butterfly - which is a $1 digi!  I went a little simple since the colors were overwhelming me LOL!  The die cut sentiment is from a Sizzix die set.

Paper Pups Birthday Card

Hello and happy new year!  I can't get over how fast 2017 went by and we are now almost mid January!  I'm currently planning for Little Bit's 6th birthday next month.  Nothing big this year, but it still has to be special.  So, I'm making a few more birthday cards than usual, and the first post of the year is:

I dusted off my Cricut and pulled out an old cart: Paper Pups.  My personal goal is to use my Cricut at least once a month.  And I have the usual personal challenge, to make one or two Christmas cards a month, that I failed at last year and ended up being short cards in 2017.  So we will see how it goes!
