Rustic Reindeer Bugaboo Stamp Christmas Cards

Hello and wow, just a couple more days until Christmas.  I'm one of those who shops early, has all the presents wrapped and cards out in the mail.  This year, well, not so much has been accomplished.  This will be the first year since I can remember that I will not be sending out cards to my entire list.

I did manage to make a few reindeer cards for the Catch the Bug Holiday Chaos Photo Challenge:

I'm featuring the reindeer from Bugaboo Stamps Christmas Trio Block.  I was inspired by a card on Instagram I saw quite a while back, but I don't know how to find it again to give proper credit.  I felt the design was just perfect and tried my best to recreate what I remembered.

I used a stencil and white ink on kraft - trying to be a little more adventurous with my backgrounds, a Spellbinder flourish die, and papers from Stampin Up.  I think they have a bit of a rustic look to them.

Anyway, there is still plenty of time to enter all the challenges at Catch the Bug Blog!

Thank you for taking a peek at my cards today and have a wonderful week!

This meets the following challenges: 2 Crafty Critter Crazies: Anything Goes with a Critter, Crafty Animals: Anything with an Animal, Die Cut Divas: Anything Goes with Dies (Cuttlebug used), and Always Fun: Christmas.

Rory's Poppy Bouquet in Orange Card

Hello and happy Hump Day.  Today I'm sharing a mid-month reminder for the current Anything Goes challenge at Corrosive Challenge.

I'm featuring Rory's Poppy Bouquet by Colour of Love.  I really enjoyed this image and didn't want too much distraction, so I left it sans sentiment.  I added a few crystals and colored with copics.

Join in if you can with Anything Goes.  The challenge runs until the end of December.  Thank you so much for taking a look and have a wonderful day!

This meets the following challenges: A Bit More Time to Craft: Anything Goes, Love to Craft: Anything Goes, Watercooler Wednesday: Anything Goes, and Digi Choosday: Anything Goes.

Reindeer Tags

Hello all!  This week is Holiday Chaos at Catch the Bug blog.  So all week long there will be challenges and lots of prizes.  I'm a little late to the party, but today I'm sharing a tag for Monday's ABC challenge (Anything But a Card).

I don't usually like ABC's but I was actually in need of a couple tags for gifts.  My tags aren't overly creative and I adore those who can put together tags that are like a gift all in itself...but I tried.

I'm featuring the reindeer from Bugaboo Stamps Cute Christmas Tag Set.  Using a couple dies, pop dots, wiggle eyes, and twine, I think these came out ok.  And this year, I'm blessing everyone with lotion!  I don't know about you, but with all the hand washing and extra dishes, the skin on my hands is dry and looking much older than usual - so hopefully my recipients appreciate it as well.

So visit Catch the Bug to enter one or all of the current challenges for a chance to win Bugaboo Stamps!

Thank you for taking a look and hope all is well.

Turtle Thanksgiving Card

Hello and hope you are having a wonderful weekend.  I am here to share a card for the latest Catch the Bug Challenge:  Thankful.

I'm featuring Turtle Thanksgiving from Bugaboo Stamps.  I have a simple layout trying to use up some much older papers.
I've added glaze, popped up the sentiment, and added several die cuts from Little B and My Favorite Things.  I hope you get a chance to join in this week's challenge!  Thank you so much for taking a look.

Bugaboo Teddy Bear Birthday Card

Hello and happy Saturday!  No big plans this weekend, pretty much like most of 2020 since March, but that's ok.  Actually, I feel like I'm busier now than I ever was before so I doubt I will have a quiet craft filled day.

Anyway, I'm just here to share a card for the current Catch the Bug challenge: Anything Goes.

I think these Teddy Bears from Bugaboo Stamps are just too adorable.  This is supposed to be a masculine/little boy card, even with the bit of sparkle in the paper.

I added a birthday die cut sentiment inside and added touches of glaze to noses and bugs.

So join in this week if you get a chance for the super easy anything goes challenge.  Thank you for stopping by!

Sakura in March Fairy Card

Hello!  It's hard to believe it is already November.  Hopefully my internet will be stable enough to get this posted!  I really want to share a beautiful image used for this month's Anything Goes Corrosive Challenge:

This is Sakura in March by Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps and I just adore her face.  I made this for a young lady who graduated high school.

I added a little dimension with the flowers and a few pearls.

That's it from me today.  Thank you for taking a peek at my latest creation.

Pup Birthday Balloons Watercolor card

Hello all.  Today I'm sharing an older yet still much loved Bugaboo Stamp at Catch the Bug Challenge Blog.  I thought it was perfect for my brother's birthday.

This features Bugaboo Stamp's Pup Balloons.  I added 51 to the center balloon (how old he's turning) and a little glaze.  The background is watercolored and I did a bit better job of flicking some paint on for dimension.  I really like that technique and I believe this is my first successful attempt.

Just a close up to hopefully see the bits of paint and glaze.  That's it from me today.  Thank you for stopping by, I really do appreciate every visit.

This meets the following challenges:  2 Crafty Critter Crazies: Anything Goes, Classic Design Challenge: Anything Goes, Crafty Animals: Anything Goes, and Love to Craft: Anything Goes.

Kimono Portrait CAS Card

Hello and wow I think it's officially winter??  How did we completely skip fall?  Anyway, once again, I'm back to share a card for the latest Corrosive Challenge: Anything Goes.

I'm featuring Kimono Portrait from Star Stampz.  I think I missed the mark a bit on the skin color.  This is such an adorable digi so hopefully I can get in a bit of practice and give this another go.  My papers are literally from Japan - a gift that I find hard to part with.

I did not include a sentiment because I really did just want for her to be center of attention.  She's popped up with a few touches of glitter pen.  Other than that, plain and simple.  Join in this month if you can!

Thank you for stopping by and taking a look.

This meets the following challenges:  Crafty Creations: Anything Goes, Digi Choosday: Anything Goes, Through The Craft Room Door: Anything Goes, and Tuesday Throwdown: Anything Goes.

Gnome and Sunshine

Hello.  Today I'm sharing three cards, all the same with different papers.  I'm featuring the Lil Gnome die from Simon Says Stamps, that was gifted to me late last year and I finally have a few cards to share.
The sentiment is from CardzTV Stamps.  Mary has a huge selection of sentiment stamps that stamp so clean and clear.
All the same, just different colors and papers.  The gnome is popped up and the rest of the card is flat and simple.  I only colored the nose on each.

These were inspired by this card from Sandcastle Stamper.  I've always had a thing for gnomes before they became popular.  I had them in my gardens for years and little by little, they went to gnome heaven and I'm now left with none.  Someday I'll find another that speaks to me and joins my garden family.

Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful day.

Stampin Up Cute Fruit and Special Someone

Hello and happy Hump Day!  I have a quick share today.  A couple cards made using some new Stampin Up Stamps.  I'm not creating much, but for some reason, I'm still looking at catalogs - and couldn't resist getting myself something new.

My first card features Stampin Up's Cute Fruit set.

I actually purchased this for the banana since that's my favorite fruit.  There are also little smiley faces stamps to put on the fruit that I can't wait to use.  The pineapple is popped up, but basically a rather simple card.

My second card features Stampin Up's Special Someone set.  This is a double stamp sort of set where you stamp the main image (in black) and then the "fur" is a separate solid stamp.

I couldn't handle the flat colored "fur" so I went in with Copics and added a little shading.  The balloon shows the black outline stamp, and the inner red stamp - added a bit of glossy goodness.  I feel I missed the mark on the grass and clouds (hadn't done that in a while and obviously rusty).  I still like the end product for the most part.

Thank you for stopping by and taking a look!

I am entering the following challenges:  Crafty Sentiments Designs: Anything Goes, Digi Choosday: Anything Goes, Lemon Shortbread: Anything Goes, and Through the Craft Room Door: Anything Goes.

Steampunk Octopus All Occasion Card

Hello!  I don't know when I last posted but I feel like it's been a while.  I do want to make sure to invite you to join this months Corrosive Challenge: Anything Goes!

I'm featuring Steampunk Octopus by Oddball Art Co.  I have several of their digis and find them fun to color and use.  For this card, I went with a watercolor background with different greens, black, and white.  I tried to splash paint on, a dear blog buddy told me to add a bit of water to the acrylic to make it splatter better....I'm fairly sure I put too much water in both the white and gold paints.  BUT, just when I though I ruined the watercolor background with the paint, I dabbed off the excess paint/water and I actually liked the effect!

I added a touch of glaze to his monocle, glasses and heart.  I also added a little glitter pen.  For the most part, I just wanted the octopus and background shine without too much more distraction.

Join in the Corrosive Challenge if you get a chance - there are still two more weeks left.  Thank you for stopping by and taking a look.

This meets the following challenges:  2 Crafty Critter Crazies : Anything Goes with a Critter, Through the Craft Room Door: Anything Goes, Digi Choosday: Anything Goes, and Crafty Creations: Anything Goes.

Thank you 2 Crafty Critter Crazies

Thank you Digi Choosday!
