Hello all and Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a fun and safe Halloween. Bean got so much candy that I had to carry her bucket from house to house because it was too heavy for her. She took over once we got to the walkways, got her candy, then handed it off to me until the next house.
I want to share a card I made last week using the smiling giraffe from Designed2Delight:
I LOVE him! I colored and colored until I got the effect I wanted. I went with a simple layout from Splitcoaststampers SC62. The DP is Cosmo Cricket, and the letters are Mickey Font Cricut cart at 3/4". The sewing is a little hard to see, but I did a zig-zag stitch around the edges.
Oh how I was so impressed with myself on how I colored his face. Believe it or not, sometimes I take on certain images just to practice, practice, practice. This coloring stuff doesn't just come naturally to me you know (you can tell by some of my cards! LOL!!).
And just a note, the Double Delight Challenge this week is: EMBOSSING.
DARLING....love the facial expression....hey, thanks for stoppin' by my blog today:) I'm going to have to handwash those embellished mugs:)
ReplyDeleteoh gosh this is just so cute! Your coloring is incredible - guess practice does make perfect!
ReplyDeleteThis is just too cute... I want him, can I buy him??? I love this guy, and you did an awesome job with the coloring... I am sure Bean looked adorable in her little outfit.. they are so precious at that age.
ReplyDeleteAs soon as I sent my comment I looked around and saw where I could buy him.. he is soooooo cute. I am not very good at coloring, but he is so cute I would try. Thanks for sharing your card.

ReplyDeleteLola,
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this card. Giraffes are one of my favorite animals and I have them all over the house. I purchased some digital images, maybe even this one, but I haven't taken time to do one up yet. You did a fantastic job. Hugs, dj1952
Lola, I love the way you colored this giraffe. It's so awesome!
ReplyDeleteJust poking through your gallery of images...what a treat!

Lola….do you still own this giraffe stamp? If yes, are you willing to sell it to me?
ReplyDeleteAnonymous - asking about the stamp, how do I get a hold of you?
