Today I'm sharing a card that put me a little outside my comfort zone....ok, it put me a LOT outside my zone. I don't usually use bright papers, but have had this pack for over a year now and never cut into it.
The image is Spring Peep by Designed2Delight, colored with Copics, shaded with Ranger Inks, with plenty of Glossy Accents. Are you wondering about the sentiment? Well, this was first stamped "friend" on the green area just below my image. The "R" in friend looked like an "A" and I felt it was unreadable. So, I covered it up the best I could.
So when all was said and done, I thought "oh great, I need sunglasses to even look at this!" Jay walks in and says "oh, I like that one! Great colors!" without me even asking for his opinion. So this is now on it's way to Auntie Diane!
Thanks for joining me today!
This meets the following challenges:
- Card Patterns - Sketch #109

This is so cute! I love the bright colors, and that paper reminds me of Easter eggs! Your curved stitching is perfect...wow!
ReplyDeleteSo so cute! So fresh and Springy! Love this paper (my tomorrow's card is using this, too!) Gorgeous scallop edging! x0x0
ReplyDeleteWell, you should be using bright papers more often.. it's totally a "wow" card.. and I am sure Auntie Diane is going to love it. hugs (still waiting to see your first layout)
ReplyDeleteJay's right--fabby colors! Very cute card Lola.
ReplyDeleteOh! The colors are great! That fab stitched scallop on the side is such a wonderful touch and the solid green paper is the perfect contrast for the vivid patterned paper. For someone who does care for bright colors, it looks to me like you have a knack for working with them ;D Hugz, Cheryl
