Vintage Tub with Doodle Pantry

Hello all!  I guess it's now official, and I can share that I am joining the Doodle Pantry design team!  I don't actually start for a couple more days, but want to share a recent card using Vintage Tub.
Laurie has wonderful digis and there are so many pre-colored ones too that make for super fast yet gorgeous creations.  The little window (especially the curtains) are not my original idea.  Cely makes the pretties window cards ever, and I guess I had to give it a try!  I even attempted to add clouds.

And I have to add that some day I would LOVE a plush set of brown towels.  My bathrooms used to be plain white (I liked the look of "clean"), but Bean and Sprout add color to my life....and it's easier to hide dirt on brown!

Fitness Protection Program

Hello and Happy Tuesday!  Today I'd like to share with you a Bugaboo New Release.  Her name is Gertrude and I think she's fantastic.  Hopefully we'll see more of her in the future.
My pulmonologist recently told me to start walking - says I can't make my lungs stronger (they're not a muscle) but I can build up a tolerance (walk longer and harder without dying!).  But I feel more like this lady!
And my little cookies in the corner are made using Digi Papers - Cookies.  I used my copics to add a little more shading though.  Stop by Bugaboo for all the latest releases!

Sprout's First Birthday Card

Hello all and hope you're having a wonderful day.  I shared the fact that we didn't get around to having a party for Sprout's first birthday.  But that doesn't mean we didn't have a cake and card!
The cards are important to me because I fill them out completely, with thoughts, memories, milestones, and wishes.  I put them in a box - nope, the girls never even get to see them - and all these cards will be handed over to them when they are 18.  At least that's the plan!
So the outside uses Cricut Cart Celebrations for the Candle #1 (5") and the "st" is from Mickey Font (1" plus shadow).  The sentiment is Stampin' Up's Teeny Tiny Wishes.  The inside uses a fabulous monkey from Melonheadz - I usually refer to Sprout as Monster Child or Lil' Monkey - plus most accessories out there have monkeys on them this season.
Here's the birthday girl.  A good friend of mine surprised us with a gorgeous cake (yup, we forgot to get a cake ourselves), and my mom made her a felt birthday crown.  So my baby DID get a birthday party!

Birthday Owl

Hello all and Happy Wednesday.  Today I'd like to share the card I made for my Auntie.
She loves owls, so I put this little MyGrafico owl front and center.  It's a rather simple card, and I used a Sizzix flourish die for the "branch."
Isn't he cute?  You can find the whole digi set HERE.

Barcode Princess

Hello all and Happy Saturday!  This week's challenge at Catch the Bug is:
I'm going with sewing, players choice and heart and featuring Kidz Girl with Heart.
This is Beanie's birthday card!  I know it's not till May, but I've been wanting to do this since I was inspired by Catherine's card here.  Also, I barely filled out her 5th birthday card a week ago - so this time I'm WAY ahead of the game!!
She's already going to be 6 years old.  I've learned about Justin Bieber, Gangnam style, and that I'm no longer cool.  Oh well.  It happens.

Hello and Happy Friday.  Today at Bugaboo Stamps is FREEBIE FRIDAY and this weeks image is Book Nut!

A Hoppy Hello with Doodle Pantry

Hello and HOPPY Wednesday!  Today I'm sharing an adorable little bunny I've been dying to use!
He's from Doodle Pantry and I'll be entering this in their monthly challenge.  Also, in case you don't know, everyone is a winner!  You enter the challenge using a DP image and you get a free set!
I was inspired by Cely to make a little butterfly with the pearls - but I only had stickles (and those are so unforgiving!).  What I don't get is how to keep the little wings up?  Once it goes in the mail, they smash flat right?  Or am I missing something?

Whimsie Doodles ATC

Hello all and hope you had a wonderful weekend!  Today I'd like to share an ATC I made for a couple challenges.
I got this lovely freebie from Whimsie Doodles.  Isn't she cute?!  Well, she's extra small and was a challenge to color, but I think I pulled it off.  I'm also using their layout for their current challenge.
I'm also entering this into this weeks Wicked Wednesday challenge: Valentine/Love ATC.  So just a quick share today....taking time to create and let go of stress!

I'm also linking up with the following challenges:

Make a Valentine Onsie

Hello all.  Today I'm sharing something a little different.  I made a onsie for Sprout for Valentine's Day - and it's so super simple.  I believe this technique is called reverse applique.
So here goes!

1) Grab a onsie.  Make a heart template out of cardstock.
2) Outline using a washable marker.  I made the heart in the center slightly larger than the two on the sides.
 3) Cut a piece of coordinating knit.  I used an old red t-shirt (super thrifty right?).
4) Pin the coordinating fabric to the INSIDE of the onsie.  So the RIGHT side of my red material is on the WRONG side of my onsie.  Pin in place.
 5) This shows how the red material is on the INSIDE of the onsie.
6)  Using coordinating thread, sew around your washable marking a few times.  I tried to make the lines cross so it would look more fun.
7) CAREFULLY make a snip on the white onsie to create a starting point.  Trim all the way around the WHITE heart only, leaving the red knit intact.
8) Do this on all the hearts or designs.
9) Here is what the back/inside looks like.
10) Trim the excess so it doesn't irritate the baby.
11) Attempt to take a picture of said baby in completed onsie.
12) Make another for older child.  She doesn't look overly excited about this, but trust me, she LOVES her new shirt!!
Happy crafting!!

Fun Frog with Kenny K

Hello all and Happy Sunday!  Today starts a new challenge at Kenny K's Krafty Krew:
TO THE ONE I LOVE
So of course, I made a Valentine's Day card.
I used Fun Frog, but can't locate him at the store....so not sure if he's still up for sale.  So sorry!  I should have checked before using him.

So any plans for Valentine's Day?  We're hoping to get out for dinner with our church.  But my DH is having problems being up and about still, so maybe we'll do something by candlelight ;)

So join us using your Kenny K stamp for a chance to win!!  This weeks sponsors are:

Blue Heart Mouse with Bugaboo Stamps

Hello and Happy Saturday.  Today I'm sharing this weeks challenge at Catch the Bug:
AFFAIRS OF THE HEART
And I'm using the adorable Heart Mouse
The heart is from Cricut Cart Accent Essentials (3.5" with shadow) sewn down.  The awesome chevron is an overlay from Mel Stampz - very generous!
Why blue?  Because it's my favorite color.   That's it for today!  Thanks so much for joining me.

Bugaboo Freebie and Special Day

Hello all and Happy Friday!  Today I'd like to share two things:

1) it's Freebie Friday at Bugaboo Stamps and
2) Sprout is ONE YEAR OLD today!!
Here she is on her big day.  And the cupcake sentiment is the freebie!!  Unfortunately, with all that's been going on with my DH and my health, we sort of....no, we completely forgot that our little girl is turning one.  I feel so guilty that there is no party, no guests, no presents.  BUT, she has all our love.  BTW, I made this to send out to friends and family.  I modified the freebie - turned it white and added a shadow and placed it on top of the pic - kind of like a scrapbook pic right?

Thanks for stopping by today and don't forget to pick up your freebie!!

Friend Bear with Bugaboo Stamps

Hello and Happy Thursday.  Today is Oldie But Goody day at Catch the Bug where we use older yet still much loved stamps.
I went with something simple, leaving a lot to my designer paper.  I'm featuring Theodore with his little friend.
Add a strip of ribbon and sewing and you've got a 15 minute card!  I know....it probably looks like a 15 minute card.  But isn't he adorable?

I'm sharing an ATC (artist trading card) made for my swap group using Picnic Ant Cherry.
Trying to show the dimension.  I popped up the sun and the ant.  Have a wonderful weekend and thank you for stopping by!
