Hello and hope you are having a wonderful week. As for me, I just caught a cold and it's moving in quick! Colds usually get me put on my nebulizer and prednisone. Neither of them are really good for you in the long run, but they manage to keep me alive while my body inefficiently fights off a common cold. But, hey, I'm not really complaining, just sharing my life as an asthmatic.
But for now.....
Here's a card made for my big brother's birthday - in September. With my "use my Cricut more" personal challenge, I came upon this Cricut Nifty Fifties cut when doing my Flamingo from the start of the year and thought it would be perfect for him. We grew up along Route 66 and just thought it would remind him of home.
I made sure to keep it sequin free, but I did have to add glaze so it wouldn't look so boring. The sentiment is from a Stampin' Up Paper Pumpkin kit. I think it came out pretty good, considering guy cards aren't really my thing. So that's it from me today. Thank you for taking a look.
This meets the following challenges: Through the Craft Room Door: Anything Goes, Crafting From the Heart: Anything Goes, Use Your Stuff: Numbers, and 2 Sisters on the Blog: Use Numbers on Your Card.
Very nicely done! It is a simple design but so very eye catching! Thanks for joining us this week at Use Your Stuff! Amanda - DT
ReplyDeleteGreat card for your brother and the glaze looks wonderful on it. So sorry that you have to take prednisone and nebulizer...sending you prayers and healing thoughts. Being that I am diabetic, they will never give me prednisone. For the fork punch it came on a EK Success punch with a fork, spoon and knife. I think it's intended for a place card or menu. When they had it on clearance I grabbed it.
ReplyDeleteNice card!

Really fab masculine card for your brother! Love the addition of the glossy enamel over the numbers! Reminds me of a fun trip I recently took with my hubby this last Fall! :) Thanks for sharing and I hope you feel better soon! HUGS

I remember the TV series Route 66. Funny about leaving sequins off. Wow...using the Cricut.
