Hello and happy Thursday! I'm still trying to get into the swing of things this year, and this year, another goal of mine is to declutter! So I've been working on that and have 5 bags (kitchen trash bag size) to drop off for donation! I think it's amazing how much we collect and how difficult it can be to let go of "things." Anyway, I hope to keep up the momentum until I feel my life, and house, are simplified.
But, for today, I would like to share a card I made using the Simon Says Stamp July 2018 kit.
I got this kit quickly because I know they sell out, and it's my first experience with an SSS kit. This is my third card using this kit, and I hope to get more use out of it as time allows. I got some new papers from Tuesday Mornings - I love that place - which I thought would be perfect for my fish background.
I did some copic refill smooshing on paper, then stamped the fish, which gave them each a unique color - instead of coloring them all in to look the same. I added a little interest to the scales and glossy goodness to the bubbles. The sentiment is actually heat embossed - using my new embossing pad I got for Christmas. Some fish are flat while others are raised.
That's it for today. Thank you for taking a look!
This meets the following challenges: Through the Craft Room Door: Anything Goes, Dragonfly Journeys: Shiny and New (embossing pad and papers), Simon Says Monday Challenge: Something New (embossing pad and papers), and Cuttlebug Mania (Cuttlebug used for die cut rectangle with embossed stitching + new supplies).
Fabulous Lola, love the design of the fish, so relaxing.

Oh my gosh I love this design so much!! The colorful fishes swimming in that bubbly background is perfect along with that punny sentiment! :) What great texture and details on your card!! HUGS
ReplyDeleteIt must be the time of year we are in as I have decided to declutter too. I have a terrible time letting go of things. I did do the front door closet and a bit of my bedroom. It is a start I tell myself.😊
ReplyDeleteI love the card, the background and fish go so well together. Liking the smooshing effect too!
