Hello! I can't believe it is already the middle of January. I really am amazed at how fast time seems to go by. Of course I'm already making plans for my kiddo's birthday and Valentines Day. I don't send out many Valentine cards unless there is an image that I just HAVE to use. At the moment, I have a little bit of time and hope to make a few for friends and family - fingers crossed.
Anyway, today I'm here to share my latest creation for the latest Corrosive Challenge: Anything Goes.
I'm featuring an image by one of the sponsors: this is Valentine's Seahorses by Fabrika Fantasy. I've used a few of their images and I'm always happy with how clean they print out.
I printed the image twice, colored the background using a Copic/Alcohol smooshing technique. Then I colored up the image with Copics, cut it out, and inked the edges with black so it blends with the background better.
The sentiment is using my new Cricut Air I received for Christmas - and sad to say, it isn't exactly working. I haven't decided if I want to continue with customer service who is aware of this particular problem, or go exchange it for a new one.
Anyway, I added a bit of glaze, not sure how noticeable it is in a picture, but it is there for a bit of interest.
Thank you for taking a look at my latest creation and have a great day!
This meets the following challenges: Let's Craft and Create: Love is in the Air, Craft Galore Encore: Anything Goes, A Bit More Time to Craft: Anything Goes, and As you Like It: Anything Goes.

Wow! What gorgeous coloring you've done on your seahorses here! I think that was a good call to ink the edges in black as they really stand out beautifully against your background! Fabulous job! I have the Cricut Explore model and wish I used it more than what I have...I probably won't be investing in another Cricut product in the future...hope you can get yours straightened out!
ReplyDeleteP.S. I have another otter on my blog today! :)
Where to begin with this absolutely gorgeous beauty! Your coloring skills are drool worthy! Really love the color palette, too! I dont' have the Cricut (I was given a Brother Scan N Cut, which I love, but technically challenged from figured out anything other than die cutting!) I hope you get yours fixed or replaced soon :)
