Forest Mouse Sipping Coffee

Hello and thank you for stopping by.  Today I would like to share a card for the latest Anything Goes challenge at Corrosive Challenge blog.
I'm featuring Forest Mouse by Fabrika Fantasy.  I felt this mouse looked wise, holding his cup, so I tried to match a sentiment using Stampin' Up's Sip by Sip.  I've been going through my stash - it's almost like shopping for something new since I can't actually visit a store - and found a pack of doilies also from Stampin' Up.  I don't believe I have ever used a doily on a card before, so this is new for me.

I'm not sure if you can see, but I added some thin gold twine beneath his feet.  Mouse is popped up while the rest of the card is flat.  I've made this for a "friend" and hope to get it out this week.  I've been lazy about getting cards out in the mail lately, but feel this is the best time to do so, so I'm going to try my best to put a smile on a few faces soon.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope good health to all.

This meets the following challenges:  Crafty Creations: Anything Goes, Fab n Funky: Cute Critters, Digi Choosday: Anything Goes, and Through the Craft Room Door: Anything Goes.

  2. Easier said than done, but a great sentiment. Just LOVE your coloring as usual. That stamp is adorable. I have been doing lots of embossing dry and heat lately. The big thing I think with heat is to use the embossing buddy to rub on the paper first which you can even make your own. It's just a bag with baby powder so that the embossing powder only sticks where it's supposed to and not leaving all those residue dots.

  5. IYour card really caught my eye. Yes, he looks like a very wise, thinking mouse. Your coloring is outstanding. Are you using your new machine or did you hand paper-cut him? I see the twine. Nice touch. I need to think about thing s like that. I'm still out of the loop. I think the doily also adds a bit of glam. I would be scared to use one but yours is A+.

Fabulous coloring (as always) and the doily was the perfect accent to add I think especially with a cup along with your sentiment is a wonderful compliment to it! P.S.
