Snowman and the Star

I saw a post a long time ago (I think last Christmas) of a card that I just adored. What I remember of it, I tried to recreate. I used my George cartridge in my Cricut Expressions machine to make the face and the star. I consider this to be a CAS card - but with a lot of character.

Brown Retro Mini Cards

I finally made brown retro mini cards. These are from the same paper stack as the blue retro cards. I've had this paper stack for a while but rarely ever used it. The colors are just great and work well together.

What I'm hoping for is time in my craft room to work on Christmas cards. I have a couple ideas already...I should put these on paper so I don't forget. I was able to make an adorable snowman last night. I got the Joys of the Season Cricut cartridge that has a great polar bear I'm dying to use! I know it's early, but December is just right around the corner.

School started this week, so that means homework. That also means less time on my hobbies. Yet another reason to start early!

Dog-gone Card

I went to Joanns yesterday and found that stamps were 40% off. What a deal right? And I just love Inkadinkado clear stamps, so I loaded up on some I've had my eye on and couldn't wait to use them. Last night I made this CAS (clean and simple) card set with envelopes.

I embossed the scalloped rectangle with my new Nestabilities and Cuttlebug, inked up this adorable dog and added ribbon. I really liked the way he turned out.

Here's a better view of the dry embossing.

Retro Mini Cards

For sale at my etsy store. Update: sold.

These cards are made with some patterned paper that screams "I love the 70's!!" and Papertrey Ink cardstock. Doesn't it just look so retro? I've been a little busy getting ready for school, so I can't spend as much time as I'd like working on my cards. I have been able to make a few pairs of earrings tho! Once I get pics of those, I'll post them here as well - I know, I know...they're not made of paper, but that's ok since this is my little hangout :)

Riverrock Little Cards

For sale at my etsy shop. Update: sold.

I enjoy making "mini cards" for my etsy store. They are little 3 x 3" cards that can be used for just about anything. The reason I like them so much is because of all the beautiful patterned paper out there. Both sets are made using "riverrock" cardstock from Stampin' Up. Isn't that such a fancy name for tan? It coordinates with a lot of other colors. Thanks for looking and feel free to post a comment.

My first post

I've been wanting to create a blog for a while. I feel like I need an outlet to post my paper creations. What does that mean? That means I make stuff out of paper. It's just so versatile and I honestly feel you can make just about anything out of it. Please visit and leave comments. Thanks for visiting!
