I Like You a Latte

I got this new stamp set a couple weeks ago at Joanns and then we went on vacation, then we had to catch up on laundry and gardening when we returned...so I hadn't been able to break in this set!

I stamped the image on white, then on patterned paper, cut and paper pieced. I used my Nestabilities for the rectangle and scalloped rectangle. Add a little ribbon and popdots and voila!

Ranger Inks

So I've been watching the wonderful videos by Jennifer McGuire that she has posted over at TwoPeas and I'm loving every bit of them. I just had to try her techniques myself. This card is for sketch SC233 over at Splitcoaststampers.

Believe it or not, this is made with half a sheet (8.5" by 11") of off-white cardstock! I stamped my image, and using Jennifer's instructions, I aged the piece of cardstock with Ranger walnut ink. It is matted with off-white cardstock using the same technique using Ranger blue jean ink. The red piece uses Ranger firebrick ink. Coffee cups are stamped using one of each colored ink and aged/distressed. The background paper is inked in blue jean then splattered with water. I put all this on red cardstock from Papertrey Ink. Oh, the stamp set used is Stampin' Up's Sip by Sip.

Handmade Happy Birthday Card

The majority of birthdays have passed in my little world, and do you think I had a single birthday card ready?! Of course not. I've been getting an order ready for an art gallery that sells my cards, and the manager asked for plenty of Happy Birthday cards. Here's a simple one using a Stampin' Up hostess set. No, I'm not a hostess. But I got a great deal on these from my rep.

I remember long long ago when I started making cards. I would pull out the color wheel and make sure all my colors coordinated. Now, I just pick out a few colors and hope they match!

Scrapnfonts Stationery Idea

I love the doodlebats from Scrapnfonts. I color some in, and others just speak for themselves.

I simply chose the image I wanted to use, printed it out on patterned cardstock, put a card together, and glazed the little birds for added shine. I was thinking of making a couple more of these, adding envelopes, tying a ribbon around the pack and giving it as a gift. Don't you think this would be a pretty good gift for someone?

Green Birdie Paper Pieced Handmade card

I just love this stamp. I know I've made a card similar to this before, but I really do like it. I stamped the bird once on white cardstock, then stamped on green patterned paper, cut the green image out (body and tail piece), then simply glue in place. I enjoy coloring images, but some stamps just call for paper.
I used brown thread for the sewing and I really like the way it shows up. I've been cleaning up my crafty space, and I'm coming across a lot of forgotten stamps and carts. It's like getting all new stuff again. Know what I mean?

Portly Skunk

I really can't wait for the next Stampin' Up punch class.
Isn't this little guy too cute? The sentiment reads: I stink you're sweet! Wish I could share the directions on how to make him, but all I remember is lots of punches!

Imagine This - Dog Treat Bag

OK, now imagine this gorgeous topper with a baggie filled with doggie bones attached. Isn't this just the cutest?!

Front of the bag topper.
Back of the topper!
This is another punch card. There is actually a lot involved in making a punch embellishment. But I keep going back for more! If you have punch animals, please share. I'm always looking for something new.

Wild About You

Delving into digistamps!

Anyway, this is made using a FREE digi-stamp from Dustin Pike. I colored him in using pencils/gamasol, and added glaze to his eyes, teeth, and leaves. The sentiment uses a font from Scrapnfonts. Oh, this is also for card sketch SC117 over at Splitcoaststampers.
I need to put a lock on my door!

One Card - Two Reasons

You know, I've got lots of Stampin' Up stamps. I'm sure there are people out there with loads more than I, but my point is, I need to use mine more often! So, I'm back to card sketches over at Splitcoaststampers. One thing I really like about the sketches is that I put ME into my cards. I'm not using some other person's creations, I'm using my own.

This is for sketch SC228 using Puns from the Past. It's a great set too. The other reason for this card is to thank my mother who never hesitates to watch my daughter while I go out.
