Gnome and Sunshine

Hello.  Today I'm sharing three cards, all the same with different papers.  I'm featuring the Lil Gnome die from Simon Says Stamps, that was gifted to me late last year and I finally have a few cards to share.
The sentiment is from CardzTV Stamps.  Mary has a huge selection of sentiment stamps that stamp so clean and clear.
All the same, just different colors and papers.  The gnome is popped up and the rest of the card is flat and simple.  I only colored the nose on each.

These were inspired by this card from Sandcastle Stamper.  I've always had a thing for gnomes before they became popular.  I had them in my gardens for years and little by little, they went to gnome heaven and I'm now left with none.  Someday I'll find another that speaks to me and joins my garden family.

Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful day.

Stampin Up Cute Fruit and Special Someone

Hello and happy Hump Day!  I have a quick share today.  A couple cards made using some new Stampin Up Stamps.  I'm not creating much, but for some reason, I'm still looking at catalogs - and couldn't resist getting myself something new.

My first card features Stampin Up's Cute Fruit set.

I actually purchased this for the banana since that's my favorite fruit.  There are also little smiley faces stamps to put on the fruit that I can't wait to use.  The pineapple is popped up, but basically a rather simple card.

My second card features Stampin Up's Special Someone set.  This is a double stamp sort of set where you stamp the main image (in black) and then the "fur" is a separate solid stamp.

I couldn't handle the flat colored "fur" so I went in with Copics and added a little shading.  The balloon shows the black outline stamp, and the inner red stamp - added a bit of glossy goodness.  I feel I missed the mark on the grass and clouds (hadn't done that in a while and obviously rusty).  I still like the end product for the most part.

Thank you for stopping by and taking a look!

Steampunk Octopus All Occasion Card

Hello!  I don't know when I last posted but I feel like it's been a while.  I do want to make sure to invite you to join this months Corrosive Challenge: Anything Goes!

I'm featuring Steampunk Octopus by Oddball Art Co.  I have several of their digis and find them fun to color and use.  For this card, I went with a watercolor background with different greens, black, and white.  I tried to splash paint on, a dear blog buddy told me to add a bit of water to the acrylic to make it splatter better....I'm fairly sure I put too much water in both the white and gold paints.  BUT, just when I though I ruined the watercolor background with the paint, I dabbed off the excess paint/water and I actually liked the effect!

I added a touch of glaze to his monocle, glasses and heart.  I also added a little glitter pen.  For the most part, I just wanted the octopus and background shine without too much more distraction.

Join in the Corrosive Challenge if you get a chance - there are still two more weeks left.  Thank you for stopping by and taking a look.

This meets the following challenges:  2 Crafty Critter Crazies : Anything Goes with a Critter, Through the Craft Room Door: Anything Goes, Digi Choosday: Anything Goes, and Crafty Creations: Anything Goes.

Thank you 2 Crafty Critter Crazies

Thank you Digi Choosday!
