Birthday Kidz

Hello all and Happy Saturday!  YAY!  First, let me share this week's challenge at Catch the Bug:
BUTTONS, TWINE and a SENTIMENT
So I made this card for my mom's birthday:
Once I forgot to  give my mom one of my handmade cards, and she told me "you know, I was really hurt that you didn't make me a card..."  So I make sure that will never happen again.  The sentiment is from Stampin' Up's Teeny Tiny wishes.
And here's a close up of Kidz - Girl Balloon who Beanie says is her - so she picked the colors.  Every little while she would come back into my room asking "how do I look so far?" (meaning how was my coloring coming along).
Yup, the similarity is uncanny!  Again, thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you are having a wonderful weekend!

Card and Tag Blanket

Hello all.  I have a couple things to share today.  First is the latest Stella Says sketch challenge over at Catch the Bug.
It's a super easy sketch, and the only requirement is that you use a Bugaboo image to enter.  The sentiment is from Stampin' Up's Teeny Tiny Wishes.

Next I'd like to share a "tag blanket" I made for one of our newest cousins.  This is a little 12" by 12" blanket, with ribbons sticking out on each side, and her initial embroidered in the corner.
These seem to be all the rage these days.  I actually made one for Sprout first, and it was a hit with her!  I'm sure there are LOTS of tutorials out there on how to make one of these - I just happened to see one at Target and thought "well, this is easy enough" and made one in under 30 minutes.  Just thought I'd share a great, easy, baby gift idea!

Birthday Monster

Hello all and I hope you had a wonderful weekend.  This week at Catch the Bug, the latest challenge is:
SKETCH
and these are usually my favorite challenges since it's such a great jumping off point.
So I'm using a new release: Monster 1, and he has lots of brothers/sisters available at Bugaboo Stamps as well.  The sentiment is Stampin' Up's Petite Pairs.
I was trying to combine a few colors but didn't pull it off quite as well as I had hoped.  But hey, everyting is an opportunity to learn, right?
And with little monsters on the mind, here is my little monster Sprout.  She is now officially 4 months old!  She wakes up with a smile, "talks" a lot, likes to play with rattles, and has found her feet!  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Knock Out

Hello all.  With Father's Day coming up, I thought I'd share a "masculine card."  These are always such a challenge for me, but I thought this little boxer was SO cute!
Using AKV Boxing - Punch from Bugaboo Stamps, and I was inspired by Catherine to use a ticket stub.  Her work is just awesome and she makes those little tickets look so awesome!

Thank you for stopping by today and have a wonderful day!

Mermaid in Purple

Hello and Happy Monday!  Hope you had a great weekend!  Today, Bugaboo Stamps is sponsoring this week's challenge over at Haunted Design House challenge:
BLACK, LIME, TEAL, PURPLE

Which I found a little hard to do...but hopefully I pulled this one off in my birthday card:
I'm using Ava Mermaid and a little "dot" technique I've "learned" from Cheryl at The Ink Trap.  I obviously need lots more practice, so please check out her tutorial for what this should really look like!  Plus, her work is AMAZING, so you'll really want to follow her.
Here she is close up.  She really is just adorable and Bean is all into mermaids lately.  The layout is from Splitcoaststampers SC159, and the sentiment is from Stampin' Up's Petite Pairs.  Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a great week.

Heart ATC

Hello all and hope you're having a wonderful week so far.  Today I'd like to share another ATC using Ava - Heart
I paper pieced her heart and bow and colored the remainder with Copics.  These were made for my ATC swap group, so I made a total of 10.  Now remember, these are little baseball card size pieces of work - and you can get the measurements at Splitcoaststampers.
I hope you have a great weekend and see you next week!

Sunflowers For You

Hello and hope you are having a wonderful weekend!  Today starts the new challenge at Catch the Bug:
ANYTHING GOES
So I'm sharing yet another gift box:
I made one of these using Flower Pot 4 for one of Bean's teachers, and this one is for her other teacher using Flower Pot 5.  Also, if you're interested, there is a tutorial available on making this super easy box.
The sentiment is Stampin Up's Word for You.  And just to brag, the gift boxes were a hit!  Again, thank you for stopping by!
