All Dressed Up with Bugaboo Stamps

Hello all and happy Saturday!  The first Saturday of the month and also Sprout's birthday month!  I would like to share the card that I made especially for her birthday.
It is also Anything Goes over at Catch the Bug Challenge Blog this week - which is a super easy challenge.  I am featuring Bugaboo Stamps' Kidz Girl Just Like Mom.  The sentiment is from Stampin' Up's Teeny Tiny Wishes and the number 4 is from Cricut's Mickey Font (with lots of glitter).  So join in the Anything Goes challenge for a chance to win big!

Boo Boy with Bugaboo Stamps

Hello all and Happy Friday!  Today I'm sharing a non-traditional Halloween card (who thought that was possible?) for my brother and nephew:
I'm using a Skelekinz image from Bugaboo Stamps.  Sentiment is Cricut Mickey Font (my favorite) and a few see threw sequins - trying to stay somewhat masculine.  I have a few more to make...I've never been big on Halloween, but it's Beanie's favorite "holiday."  Thank you for stopping by and I wish you a wonderful weekend.

Good Luck Fairy with Just Some Lines

Hello all and Happy Friday!  Woo-hoo!!  Today I'm sharing a card featuring Just Some Lines Baby Fairy Resting with a Friend:
This is for the current challenge at the Just Some Lines blog: St. Patrick's Day/Good Luck.  See the little dots in the corner?  Sprout and I used this tutorial to make them!  The sentiment is Cricut Cart Mickey Font at 1/2".
Look at that butt!  I also pulled out some glitter for her wings.  Yeah, not a big glitter fan, but I'm actually liking the look of the shiny, messy, hard to get rid of stuff!

Bugaboo Stamp Freebie and Good Luck

Hello all and Happy Tuesday!  Today I'm sharing a couple cards:

First is this weeks Bugaboo Stamp's Freebie Friday!
I needed another card, this time for my Auntie who has just been informed that she has cancer.  I really don't know what to do, but to send a card and be there when she calls.  There are so many in my life right now going through tough times.  This will enter the following challenges: The Crafty Bloggers Network : Nature, Created With Love Challenges: Think Spring, Make My Monday: Spring.
 ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
My second card is for the current challenge at Catch the Bug: Feeling Lucky.
I didn't go with the traditional green and clovers, instead opting to use Bugaboo Cowboy Horseshoe and Cricut Cart Mickey Font at 1/2".  This meets the following challenges: Love to Create Challenge: Anything Goes, Make it Monday: Anything Goes.

So don't forget to pick up your freebie and make a call to someone you love - you never know what a quick hello will do for someone.  Thank you so much for stopping by!!

Mother's Day Ewe and Sprout is Two

Hello all and Happy Thursday!  Today at Catch the Bug is Oldie But Goodie day where we feature older but still much loved stamps.  I'm sharing a card made for the best mom in the world: Mine!
My image is Happy Mother's Day to Ewe from Bugaboo Stamps.  I love the Ewe collection.  I kept it simple, and used the sentiment that came with the stamp.
Here's a side view just to sport the circle coming off the card a bit.

Speaking of Moms, my Sprout has made it to year TWO!  This child has made me cry, made me want to try illegal drugs, has taken us to the emergency room, has made her sister bleed....but I wouldn't trade her for the world (that's what I say now anyway!).
I used the freezer paper technique for her shirt.  I used Cricut Cart Mickey Font at 6 inches for the number.  So happy birthday to my Baby!  Thank you so much for stopping by and have a wonderful Thursday!

Thinking Love with Just Some Lines

Hello all and Happy Monday!  I know Valentine's Day is over, but I think every day should be filled with love!
Today I'm using a CUTE freebie from Just Some Lines for their current challenge: Hearts & Love.  The sentiment is Cricut Cart Mickey Font at 3/4" plus shadow.
I've been "adventurous" lately, using colored CS for my base and adding a white insert to write on.  Just call me wild and crazy!  I will also be entering this in this months Crafty Calender Challenge: Love is All Around, and this week's Make it Monday: Always Anything Goes.  Anyway, I hope you have a wonderful Monday.

Love Banner

Hello all and Happy Tuesday!  I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.  I've never been big on Valentine's Day, but with two girls, I can't help but to decorate and do things for my girls.  I've seen these banners all over the web and I tell myself "I want to make one" and never do.  Well, this year I did it!!
I used Cricut Celebrations for the banner at 5", George hearts at 1 3/4", and Mickey Font at 1 3/4".  Using Beanie as my inspiration, I even went and got fine glitter for the letters.
I hate glitter, but she loved it.  Now, I don't know if there's a technique to these banners, but I'll tell ya, I used a LOT of glue.  But it'll never come apart!  So that is my share for today.  I thank you for stopping by and hope you have a wonderful day!

Birthday Fishes with Bugaboo Stamps

Hello all and Happy Thursday.  The birthday celebration continues at Catch the Bug with today's challenge:  Just Kidding Around (birthday project for kids).  I'm featuring Make it Snappy - Birthday Fishes:
This is Sprout's birthday card.  Two balloons - since she will be two next month!  Like Bean, I keep her cards for her to read when she's 18.  I went super silly with hers since she makes me laugh so much.  The balloons are George and the numbers are Mickey Font.
This is the one I loving refer to as Monster.  She is more than a handful and the Lord knew what he was doing when he blessed me with her as a second child - if she were the first, she would be the only!!  Anyway, thanks for stopping by today!

Cuddly Bear Hugs with Doodle Pantry

Hello all and Happy Monday!  This week, Doodle Pantry is sponsoring Send a Smile for Kids and their challenge is Anything Goes:
I'm featuring Doodle Pantry's Cuddly Bear.  Now how cute is he?!  The sentiment is Cricut cart Mickey Font at 3/4" plus shadow, and I'm also showing off some cute little birdie dies that I received as a gift!  Thanks so much for stopping by today and consider this worthwhile challenge!

Bugaboo Turns 4 Blog Hop

Hello all and welcome to the Bugaboo Stamps 4th Birthday Blog Hop!  If you came from
http://stampinvirgo5.blogspot.com/2014/01/bugaboo-4th-birthday-blog-hop.html
then you're in the right place.  If you're just visiting little ol' me, then let me encourage you to hop with us from the BEGINNING.  To kick things off, the first challenge this week is:
Let me share my birthday card with you (no designer paper, bling (earrings) and Bugaboo Image:
This is for Beanie who will be 7 years old this year (there are a total of 7 balloons on her card).  Crazy!  I know time goes by fast, but I didn't realize it was a light speed!!  My baby is growing up and no matter what I do, I can't stop it.  I've considered withholding food, but it seems that's frowned upon.
Bean won't actually receive this card until she's 18.  Inside I write my feelings, her accomplishments, any big adventures, and current likes in friends, music, and television.  Anyway, the sentiment is from Stampin' Up's Itty Bitty Banners, the balloons are Cricut Cart George at 1 1/4", and the numbers are Mickey Font at 1".  My adorable image is: KIDZ Girl Balloon.

So, don't stop here!  Keep going:

Of course, blog hops are funner when prizes are involved.  You can get all the info at Catch the Bug, AND please leave me a comment for your chance to win the image I used on my card (I will pick one comment at random).

Thanks so much for hopping with us!!

HB2u Beach Girl with Bugaboo Stamps

Hello and Happy Tuesday.  Today I'm sharing a new release from Bugaboo Stamps.
She's adorable, and I thought bright colors would be perfect for her.  Her starfish is Cricut Create a Critter at 3/4" and sentiment is Mickey Font at 1".  The papers are Shery K Designs.  That's it for today and I thank you for stopping by.

Sprout's First Birthday Card

Hello all and hope you're having a wonderful day.  I shared the fact that we didn't get around to having a party for Sprout's first birthday.  But that doesn't mean we didn't have a cake and card!
The cards are important to me because I fill them out completely, with thoughts, memories, milestones, and wishes.  I put them in a box - nope, the girls never even get to see them - and all these cards will be handed over to them when they are 18.  At least that's the plan!
So the outside uses Cricut Cart Celebrations for the Candle #1 (5") and the "st" is from Mickey Font (1" plus shadow).  The sentiment is Stampin' Up's Teeny Tiny Wishes.  The inside uses a fabulous monkey from Melonheadz - I usually refer to Sprout as Monster Child or Lil' Monkey - plus most accessories out there have monkeys on them this season.
Here's the birthday girl.  A good friend of mine surprised us with a gorgeous cake (yup, we forgot to get a cake ourselves), and my mom made her a felt birthday crown.  So my baby DID get a birthday party!

Bugaboo Bingo Dino Love

Hello and Happy Saturday!!  My first week of classes is over and so far I have a LOT of reading to do.  At least it's a 3 day weekend right?  Anyway, I'm here to share this week's challenge at Catch the Bug:
http://api.ning.com/files/RcMQNAW*rXX57-hcIUON*PvCxBUxh58ktB-0t8skM4bq-XDk05Pr-U6Lcwr9hGmjYSwoqMDAEtbnilDYE88hoJ0DbV1syjBt/Jan2013BingoCard.png
For my card, I'm going with Pink, Bugaboo Image, and Flower:

This is Sprout's Valentine's card!  I'm so proud considering it's still a month away and I've finished something early!!  This is technically her 2nd Valentine's since she was born on February 8, but I neglected to make her a card last year.  We were a little...busy.
I call her a little monster...if you met her, you would call her one too.  So I'm going with a little animal to remember these "special" moments - Dino Heart 1.
The year is cut from Cricut Cart Mickey Font (1" plus shadow - shadow is in pink and difficult to see).  I added a little glaze and pop dots.  I'm starting her card box, so she can have them when she's grown - and hopefully will appreciate them!

Again, thank you for stopping by!  Have a wonderful weekend!

Love and Mom

Hello all and Happy Tuesday. Today I have two cards to share:

The first is "Mouse Love" that uses the incredibly cute Valentine's Basket Mouse and lots of distressing:
This week, Bugaboo is sponsoring the challenge at Digital Tuesday: DISTRESSED. I also used Cricut Cart Mickey Font (at 1" in both regular and shadow) and distressed the letters.

This also meets the following challenges:
**___**___**___**___**___**___**
My next card features a new release at Bugaboo Stamps. I printed this out on Kraft from PTI and then again in yellow and paper pieced. The top portion is colored with Prisma Pencils which show up really well on kraft.
And guess what? I crocheted the purple flower myself! While I was home with Sprout, my Ma came over everyday and she brought me a hook and yarn and taught me the basics. Yet another reason I'm grateful for my Ma! BTW - there is a lot more inspiration using this new release at Catch the Bug.

Boo Fun

Hello and happy Weekend! Got lots of Halloween plans? We have a few events to keep Bean busy and bouncing off walls from sugar overload!

Today at Catch the Bug, the new challenge is:
Photo Inspiration

I'm not really good with "inspiration" challenges, but I gave it my best shot. This is Bean's Halloween card:

I was "inspired" by the colors and the ghost. I used Chubby Ghost - Spiders and the "Boo" is cut from the Mickey Font Cricut cart at 1".

So hope you are able to join us this week! I also hope you have a wonderful weekend. Thanks so much for stopping by.

Drummer Girl

Hello all and Happy Friday! Got a quick post today. My BFF is turning 40 this year...in December! Talk about being ahead of the game!! But I saw this stamp and knew I needed it just for her.

The stamp is from Pollycraft colored with Copics. I added glitter, glaze, and sewing as usual. My friend DJ actually has long hair and plays drums for her church, so this is PERFECT!! The stars are Plantin Schoolbook at 3/4" and the "40" is from Mickey Font cut at 1/2".

Close up as usual. Thanks so much for visiting today and hope you have a great weekend!

Dude and Zipper Tutorial

Hello all and happy Tuesday! Guess what? On one of our radio stations, they are playing Christmas music 24/7. Yup, it's already started. I hate to admit it, but I LOVE Christmas music.

So I got this great little squirrel from Dustin Pike (he has some of the BEST sales ever!), I colored him up and just had him collecting dust. So last night, I put him to use for a few challenges:

DP is DCWV Green Stack, and they have a slight shiny texture, so there's more reflection in this pic than I'd like. But you get the idea. Sentiment is Mickey Font at 1", sewing, and a little glaze.

I see lots of cards with the inside all decorated up, so I gave it a shot...just a little bit tho!
This card meets the following challenges:
*****NOT A CARD*******
Just sharing a little pouch I made using an online Zipper Tutorial. This was super easy and took maybe all of 30 minutes to put together....I see a Christmas gift idea!!

So this now holds my precious markers when I color on the road. Yup, I take images and markers along with me everywhere I go. I don't do well sitting idle.

Smile

Hello all and Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a fun and safe Halloween. Bean got so much candy that I had to carry her bucket from house to house because it was too heavy for her. She took over once we got to the walkways, got her candy, then handed it off to me until the next house.

I want to share a card I made last week using the smiling giraffe from Designed2Delight:

I LOVE him! I colored and colored until I got the effect I wanted. I went with a simple layout from Splitcoaststampers SC62. The DP is Cosmo Cricket, and the letters are Mickey Font Cricut cart at 3/4". The sewing is a little hard to see, but I did a zig-zag stitch around the edges.
Oh how I was so impressed with myself on how I colored his face. Believe it or not, sometimes I take on certain images just to practice, practice, practice. This coloring stuff doesn't just come naturally to me you know (you can tell by some of my cards! LOL!!).

And just a note, the Double Delight Challenge this week is: EMBOSSING.

Boo Kitty

Hello all. Got a quick (and late) post today:
I got this adorable kitty as a freebie from Pollycraft. I was happy with my coloring...up until I sponged the background in black and purple. I'm just not sure about it! The letters are from the Mickey Font Cricut Cart (cut at 1.5" multicut).

Here's a view so hopefully you can see the glaze on the moon and eye, and the glitter pen on the fence. See...told you this was going to be short!

Tea and Yudu

Hello and happy Wednesday!! Today I have two things to share. The first is a card using a super cute digi from Meljens Designs. She's so sweet and gives away freebies often. But watch out, she'll hook you with her style and leave you wanting more.
Aren't these little cups so happy? I couldn't decide if they were for tea or coffee, so this card is "Tea for Two." I considered putting a sentiment along the top, but nothing worked...so I'll have to put it inside the card. Note: I flipped the original digi using Paint so I could have the spoon handles facing each other - and "stamped" twice.
Papers are digipapers (freebie...sorry I don't know who to credit), sewing, digi from Meljens colored with Prismas, cut with nesties, Mustard Seed Ranger Ink for shading, sewing, lace (also sewn on). I didn't really make this for any particular reason...just for fun I guess.
This card meets the following challenges:
----NOT A CARD----
My First Yudu
So I've had my Yudu for around a month now but I've been cleaning my craft room. Now that I can see the floor, I figured I'd pull out my Yudu. It came with two emulsion sheets and boy did I screw those up right away. Next day: out to look for more sheets but they don't seem to carry them in my state.
What do you think?! I was so excited that I actually got it all to work. I used the Mickey Font Cricut cart to cut out the Mickey at 5" in black. "Burned" it on my sheet, and (obviously) used pink screen printing ink. I'm so glad I took this pic because Bean came home from school with paint and marker all over it! Oh well, I was still very happy with my first Yudu success.
