Christmas Eve Snowman with Heart

Hello and happy Christmas Eve! Tonight I will be flying back home, just in time to bake cookies to deliver tomorrow to relatives.

One last Christmas card...well, actually, I have a new plan: make 2 Christmas cards a month starting in January! Wish me luck on my endeavor.

I'm using an older Designed2Delight image colored with Copics and added glitter glue. DP is DCWV, sewing, and pop-dots. Fairly CAS. Please also check out the D2D Card Ideas blog for a special Christmas review! The layout is Splitcoaststampers SC50, and will also be entered in Digi's With Attitude challenge #11: Anything Christmas!

Peace Earring Cards

Hello. Just about Christmas Eve. Tonight we will be enjoying a Cirque du Soleil show and hopefully a nice dinner. I hope you all have a great day planned as well. I know for some, it's still a work day, but a smile goes a LONG way! So smile!

I wanted to share one of the gifts I made for each of my nieces for Christmas. I used the Peace Trees and Tag Set from Designed2Delight, colored with Copics and Ranger Inks. I added glaze, glitter glue, and white pen. I glued my tag to some upcycled cardboard and punched holes with my Cropadile.

Here's a side view of how the holder can be displayed. My earrings are handmade and hopefully the girls will like them.

The Award Goes To

Hello all! Happy....oh, what is today? Wednesday? Already?! Actually, I should be on a plane at this very minute on my way to Las Vegas!! Woo-hoo.

Today I want to share an award I recently received from TWO blog friends.

I got this lovely Stylish Blogger Award from the talented Georgia and the super sweer Sandy. Georgia and I served together on the Character Cafe DT and Sandy seems to win lots of things and meet famous people. Thank you Georgia and Sandy! I really wasn't expecting this and haven't prepared a speech or anything!

Birthday Presents

Hello all and welcome to Freebie Friday at Bugaboo Stamps! Now who doesn't love free stamps? Especially this little lady who is quite versatile!

I dusted off my Pink Armadillo DP by Paper Studio, used my new nesties (thanks for the 50% off HL!!), Stella colored with Copics and Prismas, ribbon, sewing, Peeled Paint Ranger Ink.

I also added plenty of glaze to her curls and boots! I thought boots like this should be shiny. So once you get to the Bugaboo site, click on "Freebies" on top!

Toilet Paper Roll Tag Book

Hello all and Happy Thursday. We woke up to lots of rain...and no umbrella, and old windshield wipers. Well, it doesn't get wet here much, so we're basically unprepared!

I've got a few pics to share today, so I'm going to try to keep the text to a minimum.

I've seen these toilet paper roll tag books around for awhile and thought I'd give it a go. Well, I've been making most of my Christmas gifts this year, and I thought this would be perfect for a special someone:

All DP is Cosmo Cricket. The letter is from Cindy Loo Cricut cart at 1 3/4". Fiskars border punch.

First turn has "love" from Opposites Attract at 1 1/2", butterflies and flower from punch, Quote box is from a set I've had for forever.

Second turn has Stampin' Up's Trendy Trees on one side and ruffled ribbon sewn on.

Final turn features Martha Stewarts button punch, threaded. Another journaling area.

The tags are made from upcycled manila folders, and ribbon is stapled in place. I didn't embellish the tags, so that plenty of pictures and journaling can be added.

Hello all. Quick share today. I meant to post this earlier this morning, but my eyes were dilated and boy did that give me a headache!

Poppi's Winter Wonderland

Hello and happy Saturday! Today begins the Winter Wonderland Challenge over at Bugaboo - so pull out your glitter, stickles, and other bling!

Yes, Poppi is one of my favorites. I colored them with Copics and PrismaPremiers, added lots of Studio G glitter glue (which you can't see AT ALL!), sewing, Cuttlebug snowflakes (also glittered up), DP is K&Co Wild Saffron AND an upcycled manila file folder! BTW, just about all paper products these days are acid free, and folders have excellent weight to them, so don't throw them out!

Layout is the current Splitcoaststampers SC310. These cards actually look really soft IRL and non-traditional colors yet again - which meets the Papertrey Paperdolls end of year challenge. I fished out a few leftover cards from last year and I think I'm ready to start posting my cards!

Hello and happy Friday! I have made it to the end of the week!

On Fridays over at Bugaboo, a new freebie is up for grabs, and this weeks freebie is: Crabby Cathy!

Can you read the sentiment? It reads: Santa just called, you ain't getting s@#! Needless to say, this is going to my brother :) I used a rather CAS layout from Splitcoaststampers SC05, and Wild Asparagus DP. Sewing, gold heat embossed ornaments, and glaze. Candycane Penguin

Hello all and hope you're having a great day! Can you believe Christmas is just around the corner?

I'm still catching up on MAKING Christmas cards, when I should be MAILING them out!

For these two cards, I'm using the Poppi Candycane Penguin from Bugaboo. I LOVE the penguins (you can get an adorable FREEBIE here). The DP is a digipaper freebie (I love giving credit where credit is due, but I can't remember where I got this great paper!). The rest is from my scrap pile!

I thought the ribbon was a nice touch since it matches the penguin but nothing else. LOL! Does it work? The layout is Card Patterns #93 and I'm also entering this in Digital Tuesdays Baby it's Cold Outside challenge #88.

We finally got the tree up...OK, my DH put it up since I've been sick, but I directed ;)

Here's Bean putting on ornaments. The tree was getting a little "bottom heavy" so once she retired for the evening, I went back and evened things out a bit. And believe me, she won't take that hat off for months!

Hello all and hope everyone is having a great Wednesday. The weather isn't so cold today and the sun is shining!

Got a quick card to share with you today:

DP is something I found at Michael's on the clearance rack, covered some chipboard photo corners, added ribbon and sewing, nesties, $1 acrylic sentiment stamp.

Digistamp is Pollycraft colored with Copics and Prismapremiers, and added glaze. I think this would make a great guy's card.
