One Year Greater Mom Card

Hello and happy Friday!!  Usually I look forward to Fridays, especially after a long week of work and softball, but Bean made All Stars (YAYYYY!!!), which means practice every evening and twice on Saturdays.  So no real break this weekend.  But it's a small price to pay for your child's happiness - right??

Trust me, I'm not complaining, but I really need a break!

For today though, I will be sharing a card for my Mom's birthday.

I'm going with really bright colors and a corner cut out thing that I believe I saw on Pinterest.  I put lots of foam dots to separate the back paper from the first, so in my personal opinion, I think it looks kinda cool.  The image is Bugaboo Stamps Teacup Flowers 1, and the sentiment is from Cricut cart Plantin Schoolbook, cut a couple times and glazed.

My Mom is turning 70 this year, and I'm so blessed to have her in my life!!  So thank you for taking a look at her card and have a wonderful weekend.

This meets the following challenges: Craft Rocket Challenge #49: Birthday, Crafting With an Attitude: Always Anything Goes, Crafty Creations: Anything Goes, Watercooler Wednesdays: All About Occasions, and the Crafty Addicts: Anything Goes with Flowers option.

Fun Birthday Monkey Card

Hello all and hope you are having a wonderful day.  I'm at least indoors, avoiding the 100 degree weather!  But sooner or later I'm going to have to go somewhere which will require a walk to my car....then a walk from my car to a building.

But I will worry about that when the time comes and for now, I'll share a card.

This is also shared at The Corrosive Challenge Blog for this month's Anything Goes challenge!  Super easy to enter and you have all month long to link up.  I thought this adorable Funny Valentine digi by MMedel Illustrations was also perfect as a birthday image for Little Bit who I also call Monkey - because she's quite the climber and wild child.  The sentiment is from Stampin Up's Itty Bitty Banners.  So join in if you can!

This also meets the following challenges:  Crafting From the Heart: Anything Goes, Crafty Friends Challenge: Birthday, and Send a Smile 4 Kids: Anything Goes.

Surprised Bird and 2006 Papers

Hello and wow, it's already June!  I missed most of May, in bed with a respiratory infection, but I hear that what doesn't kill you makes you stronger....so I should be like a super hero by now!

Today I would like to share a card using paper from 2006 (yes, the year 2006) for the Papercraft Business Challenge #7 Anything Goes with the option of using your oldest paper.

I remember buying this paper from Hobby Lobby thinking it was the BEST deal ever!  I used a 40% off coupon, and the stack was around an inch thick, and the papers were 12" by 12".  Twelve years later and I still have this stack!  It took me a while to stop looking for quantity.  There's no way I could ever use up an entire 12" stack, and I don't scrapbook.  I'm still a paper hoarder but now I purchase the smaller size stacks and I actually make an effort to use them up.

So that's my story of my first paper purchase!  The image is a From The Heart Stamp - by Faith who is no longer with us (also known as Designed 2 Delight Stamps).  She was truly talented.

So you have all month to join in the Papercraft Business Challenge!  This also meets the following challenges: Digi Choosday: Anything Goes, Through the Craft Room Door: Anything Goes, and Crafting From the Heart: Anything Goes.
