Hello and happy Tuesday! Last night we got so much rain, and this morning I woke up to the cool air. Yup, fall is literally in the air and I LOVE it all! I find that the colors are different (and I don't just mean the changing of the leaves) and that there is even a distinct smell in the air that signifies the season's change.
But for today I am here to share a card for the latest Corrosive Challenge: Anything Goes.
I'm featuring Fred, She Said designs: Distressed Butterfly and Blossoms set.
I was going for "artsy" and something new with this image. I literally pulled out my copic refills and started placing color, drop by drop, onto the image. I tried to keep the colors somewhat contained, since I wanted my butterfly to be orange and yellow, but I didn't stress too much when colors ran together.
I read on a bottle of liquid pearls that you can use a paint brush to apply the product. OK, let's give this a try!! I painted only the butterfly, using a small paint brush. Honestly, I was a bit disappointed because my colors were muted. So I thought, I'll drop more copic ink! And I believe it really saved the image AND you can still see the glimmer from the liquid pearls.
The sentiment is from a Stampin Up Paper Pumpkin kit, and I added a bit of sewing. Different style for me, but I'm good with it.
That's it from me. Thank you for stopping by.
This meets the following challenges: A Bit More Time to Craft: Anything Goes, Crafts Galore Encore: Anything Goes, Happy Craft Challenge: Anything Goes w/optional Spring, and The Creative Crafters: Anything Goes.

Very creative idea - never thought of idea. Love the shimmer on your gorgeous butterfly. Beautiful background.
This is just so BEAUTIFUL.X
Wow! This is really gorgeous Lola!! I love the gorgeous watercolor effect for your background along with the pretty shimmer over your butterfly!! Fabulous card!! HUGS
Wow, I have lots to say. That card was a piece of art and work for sure. I think I would had been freaking out thinking I had ruined it with the pearls. I wouldn't think the copics would work after that. I also like the way the yellow/orange went beyond the lines making it even more artsy. I'm too predictable and need to get outside my box so thanks for the inspiration. Yes, there's something in the air when the seasons change. I'm still not ready to give up my beach. I guess I go home enough to get that smell of leaves and then a good fire....that will be Thanksgiving time.
Your butterfly is so stunning - the colors just pop out. A fabulous card!
I am not much of an "experimenter" but I do love when others do it for me and figure it all out first LOL! Lovely color choices too! ♥ Sue Kment
This is gorgeous, Lola! I love the slight bleeding out of the lines - one of my favorite looks to images! Sensational card!
WOW- I love the beautiful vibrant colors on your butterfly! I also really love the back colors, and all of the shimmer! And, the stitching is a wonderful touch! Just beautiful!!!
I do love the colours on this card and that is a great butterfly image. The glimmer on it (the butterfly) looks good, well done!
