Polar Bear Winter

Hello all and hope you are having a great weekend.  Today, the latest challenge at Catch the Bug is:
HOLIDAY/WINTER
So I kind of went with both.
This Polar Bear is one of my favorites from Bugaboo Stamps.  I added a few snowflakes, and a simple tearing for the "snow" floor.  The sentiment is from Stampin' Up's Short & Sweet.  I wasn't sure how it was going to stamp on the glitter DP, but it did just fine.

Thanks for tuning in today and have a wonderful weekend!

Bugaboo Freebie Hang in There Cat

Hello all and Happy Friday!  I know Christmas is over, but Bugaboo is here with a present:
FREEBIE FRIDAY
and I don't think you want to miss this one!!
Isn't he cute?!  Our Sid has gone to heaven, so I didn't want to color this little guy in Sid's colors, so instead, he looks like our neighbor cat O'Mally.  O'Mally has a habit of jumping in our car as we're unloading the kids or whatever.  And he jumps on our shoulders just to say hi - and he's HEAVY!!
Anyway, don't forget to pick him up - for FREE!!

Bugaboo Kids

Hello all and happy Thursday.  Today is Oldie But Goody day at Catch the Bug where we get to dust off older but much loved stamps.  I actually have two cards to share that I sent out for Christmas.
This one features Christmas Kids Boy 3.
This one features Christmas Kids Girl 1.  Both are fairly CAS and use sentiments from Stampin' Up's Petite Pairs.  Just a touch of sewing and pop dots.  Super simple to put together.

That's it for me today!  Thanks for stopping by!

Bugaboo Freebie Mouse in Stocking

Hello and Happy Friday.  Today I bring you this weeks Bugaboo Freebie Friday!
Well, I only had time for a 10 minute card, but I love sharing the freebies with you - in case you're wondering about the super simplicity of this one.  We are still working on getting well - I'm determined to be healthy for Christmas and break!!  I'm currently on prednisone (a steroid), and it's making me hungrier than a bear!!  Pray I don't gain too much weight!
The sentiment is Stampin' Up's Petite Pairs.  Anyway, I think I'm all ready to celebrate.  I'm still working on crafty projects here and there that I will be sharing in the near future, but for the most part, I hope me and Bean get some baking time together and that Sprout doesn't drive me crazy.

Plushie Reindeer from Bugaboo

Hello and Happy Tuesday.  I'm just about done finishing up with my Christmas cards.  Now just to get them out in the mail....that's a whole other story, but I will get it done!!
Today I'm featuring a card using the latest Bugaboo Stamps release.  The sentiment is new (for me) from Stampin' Up - Sassy Salutations.  I like them...they're nice a big.
I popped him up a little, but I'm keeping my cards as flat as possible since some are going far far away.  I also put just a touch of glitter on the "metal" part, but you can't see it.  Oh well.  So are you done with your cards?  I have a few more to show before moving on to other things ;)

Thanks for joining me today and have a wonderful Tuesday.

Mini Skull Book

Hello all and hope you had a wonderful weekend.  Just a hop, skip and a jump to Christmas!  I have an advent calendar for Beanie and I'm sharing a little - REALLY LITTLE - book I made to go in her calendar.

If you can see the little candies in the pic, the are the size of an M&M!  So that should give you an idea of how small this is.

I used the tutorial that can be found HERE.  These little books are addictive.  They take around 10 minutes to make.  I know Bean likes little things and I think (and hope) she will get a kick out of this!

Thank you for visiting me.  Hope you've been enjoying a few of my non-card, handmade Christmas goodies!

Lime Coasters

Hello all and Happy Saturday.  Today kicks off another challenge by Catch the Bug:
Bingo's are hard for me, but I'm going with: Border, Red and Green, and Sentiment:
I made a bag topper using Mini Set Cute Fruit Blocks (that I also used to make a set of magnets - LOVE this set!!).  The sentiment is Stampin' Up's Itty Bitty Banners.
What's in the bag you ask?  A set of coasters - the tutorial is HERE!  Aren't they the cutest?  I made an orange for myself, and these limes are part of my Handmade Christmas.  Yup, still trying to make gifts instead of making debt.  Since I already have tons of felt on-hand, these only took my time (and love) to make.

Have a wonderful day and thank you for stopping by.  I appreciate your visit.

Teddy Present bringing Joy

Hello all and Happy Tuesday.  Today I'm sharing a little gift I made, decorated with the latest new release at Bugaboo Stamps.

First, I made a little matchbox - envelope style.  I could have dressed this up a little more, but I thought I'd go simple since these are going to a sweet little 5 year old...and they don't always care about packaging.

Once the bow is untied, you can take the "surprise" out.
And here are the super pink earrings for her.
I love wearing earrings so these are some of my favorite things to make.  They can also be really inexpensive.  We have some GREAT bead shops.  Again, another "made by me" gift for this Christmas.  I believe I am officially out of all the stores, so I can just relax and create.

Have a wonderful day and thank you for stopping by!

Balloon Bouquet by Design2Delight

Hello all and Happy Monday.  I hope you had a wonderful weekend.  Over Thanksgiving, a few of us went up to Colorado to visit my brother and nephew.  We had a really nice visit - wish we could do it more often.
I made a card to thank them for opening their house to us and making us feel comfortable.  I'm using this months Designed2Delight digi.  In case you haven't heard, the progressive challenge is back on so as long as you play, you get next months digi emailed to you for free.
Isn't he cute?  I really wanted the heart balloon to pop, so I stayed as monochrome as possible.  The sentiment is Stampin' Up's A Word for You.  It's also nice and "flat" since it's supposed to be a "guy" card.

Bugaboo Freebie Hippo Candycane

Hello all and Happy Friday!  To make things even a little sweeter, let me show you the latest FREEBIE FRIDAY from Bugaboo Stamps.
You can't go wrong with a Hippo holding a candycane now can you?!  The papers are non-traditional - I lost my one and only Christmas paperpack!  The sentiment is from Stampin' Up's Petite Pairs.
We had a baby hippo born in 2006...as in our zoo.  "We" don't actually house any animals other than dogs!  But he's the first thing that came to mind when I saw this weeks freebie.  He was so tiny!!
Thanks for visiting and I wish you a peaceful weekend!

Make Wooden Magnets

Hello all and thank you for joining me today for my contribution to this years 12 Days of Gift Giving at Catch the Bug!!
I'm sharing a set of wooden magnets featuring the Cute Fruit Blocks Mini Set from Bugaboo stamps.
My original tutorial for the wooden charm can be found HERE.  The differences are: My wooden pieces are square, I didn't punch a hole, and I added a magnet on back.

Also, I have found that Mod Podge is WAY better for little hands.  From experience with the wooden charm, I learned that Beanie needed something a little more durable - so I tested the Mod Podge and find it to hold up to handling better.
Don't get me wrong, I love my Glossy Accents, but it's best used on cards.
I went with simple packaging because that's the way I roll ;)  The sentiment is from Stampin' Up's A Word for You and as you can see, I'm not much of a bow maker.
I also thought I'd show a simple, inexpensive gift that can be used year round and not just for Christmas.  Plus, depending on the image, they can be super customizable!

Thanks so much for stopping by and happy crafting!!  I will be linking this up with Tatertots & Jello, Flamingo Toes, Skip to My Lou, Whatever You Want Wednesday and Inspire Me Fridays.

EDIT: I've gotten a few emails about the wooden shapes and where to get them.  Here is a pic of the ones I got from Michaels.  The cost is about $3 for the bag - less with a 40% off coupon!  These are also sold at Hobby Lobby - but a different brand.

No Bull with Kenny K

Hello all and Happy Monday!  Why so happy?  Because me and Sprout are finally getting over CROUP!!  That is one tough little bug - especially for tiny little 9month old lungs.  Also, I'm happy to announce that I am on a new team!
I have been chosen to be one of the designers for Kenny K's Krafty Krew!  My husband is a fan of his work...hmmmm, wonder why?  Yup, lots of the digis do appeal to the male eye LOL!  And I can't wait to get started!
So I'm celebrating with Cute Bull (November's Kenny K freebie).  The sentiment is from Stampin' Up's Petite Pairs.  So, two great things to start off my week.  Hopefully, we will continue to get better - still have coughs and sniffles, and hopefully I can get back to some crafting for Christmas!

Thanks for stopping by and wishing you all a wonderful week.
