Wish Fish Ocean Handmade Card

 Hello and wow it's already August!  So much going on in life, but I'm trying to fit in a little coloring and card making whenever possible.

 I made the following for the latest Corrosive Challenge: Anything Goes

 

The Emma the Mermaid and Friends digi set is full of underwater goodness and I completely fell for this fish image.  The background is also part of the digi set, but I only colored the main image so it would pop.

Groovy Rory Retro Flower Child

 Hello and welcome July!

Today I'm sharing a card I made for last month's Corrosive Challenge.

My image is Rory Love and Peace Hippie by Colour of Love.  I thought she was just adorable.  I created my background is Taylored Expressions Dahlia Stencil with Ranger Inks.  The sentiment is diecut using Sizzix.  I cut each letter 3 times to make them thick.

Digi Doodle Valentine Card

 Hello and yay it's Friday.  When I wish my kid a happy Fri-YAY, she just rolls her eyes like I'm the most un-cool mom in the world.

Anyway, I'm here to let you know you still have a few days to enter the Corrosive Challenge: Anything Goes.

I'm featuring a card made for my bestest cousin ever for Valentines Day.  The image is Phillip Loves Suki from Digi Doodle Studios.  I colored it up to match her and her husband.  The background was created using a background stamp, embossed in white, then Ranger Inks to add the blue colors.

Spring Bumble Bee Hello card

 Hello and happy Friday!

I'm here with a reminder about the current Anything Goes challenge at Corrosive Challenge blog.  You have until April 2 to enter.

I'm featuring Spring Bumble Bee by Star Stampz.  I made my background using a hexagon punch, putting yellow punches on yellow CS for an embossed look.

I added a few drops of glaze to look like dew drops, as well as glaze on the petals and other areas.  The layout might seem a bit strange, but that's because I messed up the sentiment and ended up covering it with the image to save the card, and moving the sentiment to the top.  Hopefully it doesn't look too "off."

Pretty Possums Sunflowers Hello Card

 Hello and hope all is well.  I'm here with a short post today.  I'm sharing a card for the latest Corrosive Challenge: Anything Goes.  It runs through the end of the month so there is still time to get in on the challenge!

I'm featuring digi stamp Pretty Possum's Sunflowers by Colour of Love.  The sentiment is a die from My Favorite Things.  I colored the image with copics, did a little bit of sewing, and left this flat for easy mailing.

 Hello and Happy Easter!  Ok, it's not quite Easter.  But I'm sure it will be here in no time considering my days just seem to blur into the next and before you know it, an entire month is over.

Anyway, I'm here to share a card for the January Corrosive Challenge Blog: Anything Goes

 My card features the adorable Easter Bunny by Fabrika Fantasy colored with Copics, and using up my paper stash (a goal this year).  Another completely flat creation to make it post office friendly (another goal).  The sentiment is from a Stampin Up Paper Pumpkin kit.

Since I sent out ZERO Christmas cards in 2020, I'm hoping to make up for it with Easter and Valentine cards.  So at least I have a jump start on one card so far.

Sakura in March Fairy Card

 Hello!  It's hard to believe it is already November.  Hopefully my internet will be stable enough to get this posted!  I really want to share a beautiful image used for this month's Anything Goes Corrosive Challenge:

This is Sakura in March by Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps and I just adore her face.  I made this for a young lady who graduated high school.

I added a little dimension with the flowers and a few pearls.

Kimono Portrait CAS Card

 Hello and wow I think it's officially winter??  How did we completely skip fall?  Anyway, once again, I'm back to share a card for the latest Corrosive Challenge: Anything Goes.

 I'm featuring Kimono Portrait from Star Stampz.  I think I missed the mark a bit on the skin color.  This is such an adorable digi so hopefully I can get in a bit of practice and give this another go.  My papers are literally from Japan - a gift that I find hard to part with.

I did not include a sentiment because I really did just want for her to be center of attention.  She's popped up with a few touches of glitter pen.  Other than that, plain and simple.  Join in this month if you can!

Steampunk Octopus All Occasion Card

 Hello!  I don't know when I last posted but I feel like it's been a while.  I do want to make sure to invite you to join this months Corrosive Challenge: Anything Goes!

I'm featuring Steampunk Octopus by Oddball Art Co.  I have several of their digis and find them fun to color and use.  For this card, I went with a watercolor background with different greens, black, and white.  I tried to splash paint on, a dear blog buddy told me to add a bit of water to the acrylic to make it splatter better....I'm fairly sure I put too much water in both the white and gold paints.  BUT, just when I though I ruined the watercolor background with the paint, I dabbed off the excess paint/water and I actually liked the effect!

I added a touch of glaze to his monocle, glasses and heart.  I also added a little glitter pen.  For the most part, I just wanted the octopus and background shine without too much more distraction.

Mermaid from Outer Space Card

Hello all!  Today I'm here to share a card for the latest Corrosive Challenge blog: Anything Goes.

I'm featuring a stamp by Oddball Art titled Mermaids from Outer Space.  I actually tried to make the entire background, using distress inks.  I've used inks before, but I also put in stars and for me, to freehand anything is a really big deal.  Plus, I did a bit of heat embossing but I obviously chose the wrong color.

I should have maybe went with a white, or....I don't know, but I think the gold sentiment is hard to see.  The sentiment is from Stampin Up's Trendy Trees.  Either way, I was trying to be a little more adventurous using seldom used inks.
