Honey Bear and Flowers Designed 2 Delight cards

Hello and welcome.  I was a DT member for Designed 2 Delight way back in the day.  Unfortunately, the artist is no longer with us, but I still adore her creative stamps.  So I'm sharing a couple cards using D2D stamps as the focus:

I find this little honey bear to be just so delightful.  The background is made with a cloud stencil, fussy cut the image, and added the sentiment from from Cardz TV Sweet Sayings.

My second card features a mouse party.  Added a little ribbon and black string for interest.

Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!

My cards meet the following challenges: Make My Monday: Birthday, A Perfect Time to Craft: Anything Goes, Crafts Galore Encore: Anything Goes, Crafty Animals: Anything with an Animal, and Critter Crazy: Anything goes with a Critter.

Sewn Paper Pumpkin Cards

Hello and happy Monday.  So, I've been working on using what I've got.  Well, I've got a few Stampin' Up Paper Pumpkin kits that need some attention.  I finally finished this kit!  I've posted a few other cards using this kit, and these are the final four.

These two use Bugaboo images.  The Bugaboo store is no longer open, but I'm still a big fan.

This one uses My Favorite Things Birthday Bears, and I added a cake from the stamp set.

This final one features a critter from Stampin' Up's Special Someone set.  On all of these, I inked the backgrounds, added grass, colored up images and popped them up.

Hopefully I'll continue going through my stash of new-to-me items and a main goal is to actually send out the cards!

Thank you for taking a look at my latest creation.  Have a great week.

These meet the following challenges: Gem of a Challenge: Anything Goes, Critter Crazy: Anything Goes with a Critter, A Perfect Time to Craft: Anything Goes, Crafty Animals: Anything with an Animal, and Mirtillamente: Polar Bears.

Tiddly Inks Elephant Cards

Hello and happy Friday!  Today I would like to share a couple of cards using adorable elephants!

Both cards feature Fur Reals Animals from Tiddly Inks from Etsy.  A while back I got a few Tiddly digis on sale, and I'm finally getting around to using them.  On this card, the sentiment is cut a few times and glued together for stability and added dimension.
On this one, I made his ground using Ranger inks.  Both the banner and sentiment are from My Favorite Things Sending Sweet Celebration Wishes, and the layout is MFT sketch WSC475.  This ones is not my favorite and I think it's because the chocolate cake just stands out - and not in a good way.

Both cards have the elephants fussy cut and popped up.

So that is my share today and I thank you for taking a look.

Meljen's Mouse Valentine Card

Hello and happy Hump Day!  Today is a particularly cold day, so I've been looking up soup recipes and thinking about what kind of craftiness I can enjoy this evening.  I really am focused on 1) de-cluttering and 2) taking time for myself.  Not really new year resolutions, just changes I would like to accomplish.

Anyway, for today I'm sharing:

I'm not quite sure if this is a Valentine/Galentine card, or a just-because type of card.  But I wanted to color up this little critter from Meljen's Digital Stamps - I'm not sure if she has her own blog anymore, but I found her stamps at Whimsy Stamps.  The sentiment is from Cardz TV Stamps.  I added a bit of ribbon that wrapped a robe purchased from Costco - and I didn't have the heart to toss it with the rest of the packaging.  So a bit of upcycling on this!

Nothing terribly fancy, and a rather simple layout.

So that's it from me.  Thank you for visiting and have a wonderful weekend!

Scribbles by Sandy Sunflowers Card

Hello!  Another week, another card.  I'm on a roll!

Today I would like to share a card using a digi stamp I've had for years.

My favorite flowers are daisies and sunflowers.  I've never been a rose type of gal.  Anyway, the title on this stamp included Scribbles by Sandy - so hopefully this is properly credited.  The sentiment is from My Favorite Things Freshly Picked Bouquet set.  I left my card flat for easy mailing.  A really simple creation, just trying to get in a little crafty time each week.

Thank you for taking a look and have a great week.

Gnome and Sunshine

Hello.  Today I'm sharing three cards, all the same with different papers.  I'm featuring the Lil Gnome die from Simon Says Stamps, that was gifted to me late last year and I finally have a few cards to share.
The sentiment is from CardzTV Stamps.  Mary has a huge selection of sentiment stamps that stamp so clean and clear.
All the same, just different colors and papers.  The gnome is popped up and the rest of the card is flat and simple.  I only colored the nose on each.

These were inspired by this card from Sandcastle Stamper.  I've always had a thing for gnomes before they became popular.  I had them in my gardens for years and little by little, they went to gnome heaven and I'm now left with none.  Someday I'll find another that speaks to me and joins my garden family.

Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful day.

Party Hat Fun Card

Hello and Happy Friday!  Wow, this summer has been such a whirlwind of fun and exhaustion!  These are the days that make me look forward to fall, back to school, and routine.

For today, I would like to share a rather simple "guy" card.
Yes, there is sequins, but I really couldn't help myself.  But I still think it's definitely masculine looking.  Very simple card and short post!  Have a wonderful weekend!

This meets the following challenges: Watercooler Wednesday: Masculine Anything Goes, Cardz TV: Anything Goes #56, Always Happy Birthday: Anything Goes with option of Birthday Cake, and Digi Choosday: Anything Goes.

Miss Oddleigh Catrina From the Heart

Hello and I hope you are enjoying the second week of July!  I really do believe time flies and it's flying faster than ever before.  Getting older really makes me think about my girls and how one day they will be on their own....but let's stop there before my allergies make my eyes water beyond control.

So back to today...I'm sharing a card for The Corrosive Challenge Blog's July Anything Goes challenge:
Isn't this stamp, Miss Oddleigh Catrina from LeighSBDesigns, just the best?  Makes me want to create some sugar skulls and put up some ofrendas (offerings).  And the sentiment is from Cardz TV Stamps, a set I won and am thoroughly enjoying - they stamp beautifully.  I made the image large because I felt she really needed to be the focal point, which covered up my paper, so I added a little on the inside just for fun.

Anyway, thank you for taking a look at my latest creation and have a wonderful day.  Don't forget, you have all month to join in the anything goes challenge!

This meets the following challenges: Cardz TV #55: Anything Goes, A Perfect Time to Craft July Challenge: Anything Goes, Crafts Galore Encore: Anything Goes, and Classic Design Team July Challenge: Anything Goes (must be on DT),

Guy Birthday in Blue

Hello and can you believe we are already in August?!  School starts in a couple weeks, and I think we are all ready for a little routine.  Today I would like to share a card I CASE-d from Sandcastle Stamper.
I loved her simple design and didn't want to change it - my only addition was the sewing.  I really do love all the inspiration out there.  I don't feel I do well at masculine cards, but I think this will make for a perfect guy-birthday-card!  Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful week.

This meets the following challenges: The Sisterhood of Crafters: Boys to Men, Crafty Creations: Anything Goes, Crafts Galore Encore: Anything Goes, and Creative With Stamps: Boys to Men.

House Mouse Camera

Yay it's Hump Day.  I really need a weekend, and Wednesday's are God's way of telling me "everything will be ok, just a couple more days."

Today I want to share a card for the current House Mouse and Friends Challenge #236 - Let's Have a Party (or Anything goes).
So I'm going with Party - at least I believe my birthday card fits in that category.  This is a fabulous stamp I won a few challenges back!  Made for my big brother who will be turning 55 in April - and I think he will make the connection, since I'm always behind my DSLR camera.

That's it for today.  Thanks for stopping by.

Eatin Watermelon

Hello and Happy Monday!  Almost the end of the month and I wanted to enter another House Mouse Challenge: Recycle/Re-use.
My re-use item is the card base.  I made this "fancy fold" around a year ago and it just didn't work out for what I was doing at the time.  I put it aside and forgot about it....until now.  The stamp was a little smaller than the rectangle, so I tried to fill in the space with die cuts.
I thought with the sentiment, this could easily be used for a birthday card.  I don't remember the name of this fold, but I'm sure I found it at Splitcoaststampers.  The House Mouse challenge lasts until February 4th should you want to join too.  Thanks for the visit and have a wonderful week!

This also meets the following challenges: Come and Get It: 3 or More LayersHeARTful Stamping: Anything Goes + A rubber Stamp, and Brown Sugar: Anything Goes.

House Mouse Lovin

Hello all and Happy Hump Day!  Today I'm sharing a Valentine's Day Card.
I was able to use my new banner dies (I would make these with my cutter and scissors, but they were always lopsided, so I finally broke down and purchased the Sizzix set!).  I also thought I'd join a new challenge, the House Mouse challenge - since I'm always admiring Sue's Stamping Stuff's beautiful creations.  Hopefully this year will be a year of creation for me (as well as decluttering, quality time with girls, and continued healing).

Thank you for stopping by today!  This meets the following challenges: House Mouse Challenge: New/Anything Goes (I'm using a new die set), Crafty Creations: Anything Goes, and Through the Craft Room Door: Always Anything Goes.

Live, Laugh, Love

For FTL6 over at Clean and Simple Stamping, I just had to use pop-dots.
What's funny is I love the colors, I love the sentiment, I love the layout, but I don't really love the card.
Can you see the dimension in squares 2 and 4? I think I'm going to give this layout another try. Paper from M and sentiment is Inkadinkado.

So Sweet

I really like the way the cardstock from PapertreyInk embosses (no I do not work for Papertrey in any way). There are some thinner cardstocks that I've embossed and just don't like the look. The PTI cardstock doesn't crack and the impression is crisp.

So I ran just the front of this card through the Cuttlebug using the dots folder. Added a strip of pink, rounded the corners, added ribbon (the ends are hidden under the ice-cream cone), and used 3D dots under the image.
The image is a $1 acrylic stamp set from Michael's, colored with prisma pencils and OMS, cut with my Nestabilities. Looking at it now, I think I will add a white insert for writing and a little glaze on the ice-cream. Think this is considered a CAS card?

Christmas Quest

In my quest to make my Christmas cards this year...

Using PapertreyInk cardstock for the base, this card is a beautiful red. The stamp is from Recollections (I should double check the name of these stamps) from Michaels, stamped in green chalk inks, and black stazon.

Last but not least, 3D dots! Love 'em.

Little Monster

Ever wonder if the "Purple People Eater" was in fact purple in color or if he only ate purple people? Well, if you have no clue what I'm talking about, then let's just say I'm much older than you.
For the latest card sketch over at Splitcoaststampers (SC244), I tried to go clean and simple. I used cardstock from PapertreyInk and the web patterned paper is from my unknown stack.
The image is from Recollections. At least I think that's the new line of stamps being offered at Michael's. He is colored using prisma pencils and OMS. I added just a little shine to his eye, horns, and toe nails.

Woof!

This is based on FTL5 (Fall-to-layout 5) over at Clean and Simple Stamping.
The blue cardstock is PapertreyInk, stamps are Inkadinkado, brown chalk ink, brads, and 3D dots as usual.
I stamped and fussy cut around the bone and adhered with a 3D dot. I love the decoration on his back.

Black Widow

Sunday night I was bitten by a black widow spider. I was in the emergency room for close to 12 hours on some pretty strong drugs. Most of the week was a blur. What I do remember is pain...lots of pain.

This card is made for the family of the black widow I killed. OK, not really, but I did make it with thoughts of my experience in mind.

CAS card using rik-rak, PapertreyInk cardstock, $1 stamps, Stazon ink. I don't really know what to do with this card...but I got it (and the venom) out of my system.

Help Me Diet

I made this for my little cousin Sarah (do NOT read this if you haven't received the card yet!!) and for card sketch SC242 over at Splitcoaststampers.
I believe this uses the Armadillo CS pack. Got it from Joanns a while back and it has some really "groovy" prints. The stamp is Inkadinkado colored with prisma pencils and mineral spirits. The towels are glazed with the image popped up.

The inside reads: All I've lost is 31 days. Isn't that just the truth?
