Hello and happy Thursday! School starts next week and the girls are getting excited. Actually, so am I, and I look forward to the routine. This year Sprout has the same teacher as last year which is comforting. They go to a small school where everyone knows each other and it's been such a positive experience.
Anyway, I made her teacher card and I'm also working on a few other non-card things for some of the other people at their school. For this I used Create a Critter Cricut cart, and a Stampin' Up Paper Pumpkin sentiment. Just a couple more days to the first day of school!! Thanks for taking a peek.
This meets the following challenges: Bitten by the Bug 2: Back to School, Crafty Sentiments Designs: Back to School, Die Cuttin Divas: Back to School, and Through the Craft Room Door: Anything Goes.

Beach Girl with Bugaboo Stamps
Hello all and Happy Saturday! This week's challenge at Catch the Bug is a photo inspiration, so I'm showing off Bugaboo Brats Isabella Beach to go along with the beach theme:
OK, to be honest, I think her ball looks like a watermelon and I should have gone with a completely different color! Oh well. The shell and starfish are from Create A Critter at 3/4" and 1", and the sentiment is from Stampin' Up's Teeny Tiny Wishes.

Little Octopus with Doodle Pantry
Hello and Happy Wednesday. Today I'm sharing a card featuring Doodle Pantry's Little Octopus (previously sold by CDS):
I tried to make a "water like" background using distress inks and water drops. The seaweed and shell are from Cricut's Create a Critter. Quick post today. I wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving!

A Bug's Life
Hello and Happy Saturday. The latest challenge at Catch the Bug is:
My image is Birdhouse - Beehive, the grass is Cricut's Zooballoo (2.5"), the phrase is Create a Critter (2") with a George tag (2.75").
This was kind of fun to make. Here's a side view to see the steps better.

Birthday Cupcake
Hello and Happy Wednesday! I hope you all are having a GREAT day. Today I hope to get back to my Sun Salutations (yoga) which I've missed dearly since hurting my back. But I'm on the mend.
Yesterday Bean went to pick up her shoes and said "oooh, my back hurts....I can't pick up my shoes." Well, that's Mama's girl for you!!
Thank goodness for quick cards (I can't sit for too long right now) and great layouts. I used Create a Critter Cricut cart for the cupcake (shift-Poodle at 3") and George and Basic Shapes for the word bubble (flipped at 1.5"). DP is Paper Studio's Poteeka Souffle, sewing and glaze.
Really, who DOESN'T love a cupcake?! I think this would be great for a kid...but it's also got a retro feel to it. Well, I'll stash it away and see who it ends up going to.
Thanks for visiting today!

My Mom is Dino Mite
Hello everyone and Happy Friday! Wow, what a busy week for me! Last night was the first chance I've had all week to get crafty....and I made this little number for my mom who is celebrating her FIRST DAY OF RETIREMENT today!!
The inside reads "You're Dino Mite" using the same Cricut cart: Create a Critter at 3.5". DP is Paper Studio's Pink Armadillo and the layout is Splitcoaststampers SC322.
It seems like my ma has worked FOREVER! She retired from the public schools first, and now from an eye clinic...so she has two retirements going on and will be living out her "golden" years, nice and comfortably. I'm so proud of her.
Thanks for stopping by today and don't forget to pick up your Bugaboo Stamps FREEBIEs (yes, TWO freebies) today!! It's.....FREE!! It's...Bugaboo!!! You really can't go wrong.
