Hello and Welcome to the first day of May!! Time sure flies by when you're living life to the fullest.
Today I'm excited to share a new release from Doodle Pantry, Parrot Play:
So, I had an idea in mind and it just kept going. This is for my brother and nephew, so I was going to a masculine type card....and then added flowers. A little quirky, yes, but hopefully not too strange.
Here's a shot of the dimension. I used the newly released Card Cut 6 using MTC on my Cricut for the frame. I like these cuts, they're easy and clean. So that's all for today. Happy May and Happy Thursday and thanks so much for stopping by!! This meets the following challenges: Crafting By Designs: Anything Goes, Crafting for All Seasons: Lots of Layers, Simon Says: Anything Goes.

Piggy Bank with Doodle Pantry
Happy April Fool's Day!! Today I'm sharing a new release from Doodle Pantry featuring Cool Cash - perfect piggy for gift giving celebrations!
My fancy card cut features another new release: Card Cut 5 (using MTC on my Cricut).
Just showing off a side view. Although plain, I like this one. It's 5" by 5" - not my usual size. Anyway, there are lots of new releases and a new Challenge later on today!

Over the Rainbow
Hello and welcome. This week, the challenge at Catch the Bug is a photo inspiration:
I think Ava looks lovely on top. Thank you for stopping by! I appreciate it.
And I admit, these are super hard for me. I think it's because it's left too wide open for my little brain to wrap around.
But the rainbow was my inspiration! This isn't exactly what I had in mind, but I'm happy with it. The rainbow is from Miss Kate Cuttables, and the sentiment is Stampin' Up's Sassy Salutations. I think Ava looks lovely on top. Thank you for stopping by! I appreciate it.

Beanies Easter 2013
Hello all!
I finally got a chance to pull out my Cricut and make an Easter card for Beanie. Not to get preachy, but sometimes it can be difficult keeping the true meaning of Easter in the forefront of the bunnies and chocolate, but I'm still going with "cute" this year.
Isn't she sweet? I got her from Miss Kate Cuttables, using MTC on my Cricut and the cuts were so super clean. I actually cut everything in white and colored the layers as needed.
Beanie came in and said "oh how cute!" and I got this disappointed look on my face and said "awww, don't look." She said "I didn't see anything! Nope. I have no idea what you're working on" and walked out of my room backwards with her eyes closed. I was thinking of putting her in a frame, to be replaced by the next card. This way, they don't get handled (aka destroyed), and she can have them when she's older but still appreciate them now.

Trick or Treat ABC (Anything But a Card)

Bugaboo stamps are really die-cut friendly and come together so well.
Side view, still closed. Can you see the candies inside? I got the tutorial at Splitcoaststampers - Tea Bag Holder (and the video really helps).Inside - you can see I did a zig-zag stitch to attach the "holder" to the outside.
And the candy peeking out.
So join us this week and let me encourage you to take a look at all the other projects at Catch the Bug. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Little Apple Box with MTC File
Hello all and hope you had a great weekend! Today is Bean's first day of "school." She actually does have workbooks, assignments, and will be bringing homework. I don't remember being 4, but I don't think I had that much responsibility!
For the first day of school, I wanted to "get in good" with the teachers, and this is what Bean will present them with:
I made little apple boxes. Actually, they aren't as small as you might think. They take the full 12" on the Cricut mat for a total cut of 12" by approximately 5" in width. I didn't do too much decorating on this one so you can see the actual box.
Here's a side view. It's all one piece with little tabs that are scored and glued inside. I did a little sewing around the apple as well as some shading.
Inside view to show the tabs and some of the assembly. I've already put these together with a little white paper and a bag of Hershey's Kisses tied with a bow. Once again, I had trouble with tag placement. Some people are so good at this, but I have such a block! So, I did without tags. I figure if it's handed to them personally by Bean, then they will remember it's from her.
I don't know if this box already exists out there, but I made mine from shapes here and there. So feel free to take the MTC file if you'd like:
Thanks for stopping by! If you do use this, I hope you will share your creation with me!

Hap-BEE Birthday
Hello and hope you are enjoying your weekend! We have a great Outdoor Expo to attend so Bean will be fishing and we will be shooting some guns for a grand ol' time! It's really nice when the City puts on these types of free events for the whole family.
So today is Saturday and that means a new challenge is up at Catch the Bug:
I made this little Hap-BEE Birthday card for the lovely Juliana who just turned 4:
I'm using Bees - Small Flower, and the hive is an SVG from MyScrapChick cut on my Cricut. I included the sentiment on the inside since I couldn't figure out where to put it on the outside!
Sorry for the dark pics. I seem to have issues photographing yellow and pink no matter how hard I try :(
I want to mention that at Bugaboo Stamps, there is a new $1 Digi section, and a Deal of the Day which features a different stamp daily at a discounted price. Speaking of discount, there is currently a SALE going on too!!

I Have Crabs
And aren't they just SO CUTE?! They come from a set called Craboodle from Just Some Lines. There are a total of 4 crabs in the set, but I thought 3 would be perfect.
This is a long card - 8.5" by 4". The "HELLO" was made in MTC and cut using my Cricut. I added a little sewing to each of the letters and glaze to the eyes.
Also a quick reminder that the current challenge at Just Some Lines Blog is OUTDOORS/SUMMER COLORS!!

Basket Full of Strawberries
Hello and Happy Tuesday.
This Friday, Bean will finish her 2-week swim class. She has had a wonderful time...whether she can really swim, well, that's another story. But she is no longer afraid of the water, so that's a good thing!
This is a little gift for her swim teacher. Each strawberry holds 4 Hershey Kisses, and the basket/strawberries are an SVG from MyGrafico. It was a lot easier to put together than I thought it would be.
I thought I'd dress up the basket a little with even more Strawberries from Designed2Delight. I colored these with Copics and couldn't decide on whether to put them on front or use them as a tag. I hope I made the right decision....but now where do I put a little "thanks for being so sweet" sentiment?" I'll work this out before Friday when Bean presents this to her teacher.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Puppy MTC
Hello all and hope you're enjoying your Saturday! Yes, it's finally Saturday. Today we will hop on the Harley and take a nice long drive to Jemez. Maybe we will even get in a hot spring to relax my back a bit. Today is also Catch the Bug's Challenge day, and the new challenge is:
Which is usually a favorite for most! So I made a shaped card using one of my favorite sets: Rottweiler Puppies.
I imported this digi into MTC and LOVE the look! The card measures around 4" x 5", I added chalk inks for shading and used white pen for the eyes. I just realized I forgot my glossy accents!!
So digi's aren't just for coloring anymore! I've created a few of these, so be on the look out for more. With the dull ache in my back, creating the MTC files has been quite relaxing.
So enter your ANYTHING GOES creation at Catch the Bug and use a BUGABOO image to qualify for the grand prize!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Milk Nickel
Hello all and Happy Thursday. A couple weeks ago my mom retired and her co-workers threw her a nice party. She also made out like a bandit! Gifts and gift cards! So I am now working on thank you's for her and thought I'd make a few of these little cuties:
OK, I might be giving away my age here....does anyone still call these milk nickels? These are super easy to put together. I used MTC and a file from My Scrap Chick on my Cricut. The inside is stamped "You're So Sweet." Hopefully they will get a kick out of these!

Easter Box
Hello and Happy Tuesday. Today I'm sharing one of the new releases at Bugaboo Stamps. Yup, it's time to get crafty for Easter!
Is it a box...or a bag? Well, I like to think of it as a little bit of both.
For this I used Bigger Bags at My Scrap Chick using Make-The-Cut on my Cricut (boy that's a mouthful!). I colored Artsy Bunny with Copics and Prismas and added Glossy Accents. Just a touch of sewing and homemade dots. I'm thinking of filling this with candy for Bean's teacher for Easter. Nothing like being ahead of the game!
Thank you for joining me today and taking a peek at the new releases at Bugaboo!
