Reindeer Tags

Hello all!  This week is Holiday Chaos at Catch the Bug blog.  So all week long there will be challenges and lots of prizes.  I'm a little late to the party, but today I'm sharing a tag for Monday's ABC challenge (Anything But a Card).

I don't usually like ABC's but I was actually in need of a couple tags for gifts.  My tags aren't overly creative and I adore those who can put together tags that are like a gift all in itself...but I tried.

I'm featuring the reindeer from Bugaboo Stamps Cute Christmas Tag Set.  Using a couple dies, pop dots, wiggle eyes, and twine, I think these came out ok.  And this year, I'm blessing everyone with lotion!  I don't know about you, but with all the hand washing and extra dishes, the skin on my hands is dry and looking much older than usual - so hopefully my recipients appreciate it as well.

So visit Catch the Bug to enter one or all of the current challenges for a chance to win Bugaboo Stamps!

Thank you for taking a look and hope all is well.

Super Quick Gift Idea

Hello and wow it's already November.  I think about how fast time is going by every time I make a post - especially since lately my posts have been so far and few between.  But still, it's crazy to think we will be enjoying turkey and red chili soon.  Yes, it's a southwest thing.  You got to smother everything in either red or green.

For now, I'm sharing a super quick gift idea for the latest Papercraft Business Challenge: Gift Giving.

When I think about giving gifts, I usually think of teachers.  And the mailman.  My kids love the mailman and like making him presents for the holidays.  Anyway, since I'm always running behind on just about everything, I require really quick gift creations.

This little box, an Art-C die from Michaels, fits a gift card and a handful of kisses chocolates.  The sentiment is from Stampin Up's Itty Bitty Banners and some Spellbinders dies.  These come together in 5 to 10 minutes and are pretty darn cute.  Of course they can be way more elaborate and decorated than my belly band and twine.  But I did want to show that making something from the heart doesn't have to take all night.

So that's it from me today.  Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend.

Knot That Old Pretzel Tag

Hello and can you believe it's already October??  This month will be a busy one with school activities and pumpkin patch trips.  This is actually one of my favorite and most exhausting months!

To kick off this month, I'm sharing a tag for this months Papercraft Business Challenge: Tag It!  This is also an anything goes, but we hope to see tags on your creations.
I'm using the Simon Says Stamps I Chews You 2018 kit.  This really is an adorable set that I haven't used nearly as much as I had hoped.
I added a little dimension and glaze.  I added white dots for the salt as well.
Can you see the little face on these cute pretzels?  It's easy to miss, but they are cute once you see them.

So please join in this month if you can!  Have a wonderful day and thank you for stopping by.

Mermaid Pillow Box

Hello and how are you today?  I must admit, I've been a bit tired lately.  Taking care of kids, getting to appointments, taking care of Dad who is already in his 80's, trying to keep up with the house and yard....I feel like there is a never ending list of things that I need to accomplish.

But I'm also grateful that I have a good life.  I really do.  I know my concerns are minor compared to others and I need to appreciate all that I have been blessed with.  Sometimes we lose sight of the blessings and get lost in the whirlwind that is life.

So I'm here, taking a little break to share my latest creation:

I made this pillow box to fit a gift card for an upcoming birthday.  The image is from Under the Sea Birthday Set from Bugaboo Stamps.  So is the sentiment.
I used Mod Podge Dimensional Magic for my bubbles.  My mermaid is also popped up for fun.  So that's it from me for today.  I hope you have a great rest of the week and weekend.  Thank you for taking a peek at my latest creation.

This meets the following challenges:  Digi Choosday: Anything Goes, Everybody Art Challenge: Anything Goes, Through The Craft Room Door: Anything Goes, and Not Just Cards: Anything Goes.

Christmas Moose Gift Card Holders

Hello and happy hump day!  Almost time for schools to go on break and just 6 more days until Christmas.  I'm one of those early shoppers, so I'm not too stressed.  Just how I like it.  I have a few little details to finish up, like gift card holders!

I made a couple of these - got a good deal on giftcards at Cardpool.  But I like to dress them up a bit so it seems like more of a gift.
The image is Bugaboo Stamps  Make it Snappy Merry Christmoose.  The holder is just a tad bit larger than the card.
I added ribbon just for fun.  I personally think they came out pretty cute.  So that is my share for today.  Thank you so much for taking a peek and have a wonderful week!

This meets the following challenges: The Holly and Ivy Christmas Challenge: Anything Goes Christmas, Through the Craft Room Door: Anything Goes, Crafting From the Heart: Anything Goes, Use Your Stuff: Christmas/Holidays, and Dragonfly Journeys: Handmade Holidays.

Teacher Appreciation Treats

Hello.  Just a quick share today of the little treat bags made for the teachers and assistants at my girls' school.

Just a bag with a few Rolos, and the teacher bags contained gift cards, and the tag is Bugaboo Stamps Floral Tags 4.  I've been extremely busy lately but didn't want to skip teacher appreciation week.  The tags come with a blank center which makes them perfect for personalization.  So that is my share.  Thanks for stopping by for a look.

This meets the following challenges: Crafting From the Heart: Anything Goes, Crafting With Friends: Anything Goes, Creative Fingers: Anything Goes, and Simply Create Too: Anything But a Card.

Bugaboo Christmas Tags

Hello and hope you are having a wonderful week!  As for me, been busy with work, VBS, and trying to catch all the back to school sales.  I probably spend more in gas going from store to store just to get pencils and crayons for 25cents each.

Anyway, Christmas in July is still in full swing at Catch the Bug.  Monday was ABC day (Anything But a Card) - but you have until tomorrow to enter ANY of the challenges.
I made a couple very quick tags - using non-traditional colors and paint samples from Home Depot (that have been lying around for a few years).  So, this is just a reminder to enter any or all challenges by tomorrow.  Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Jellybean Bracelets

Hello and hope you had a wonderful weekend.  Today I would like to share a little treat I made for the kids in my family for Easter.  I like to give them little handmade items in hopes they will grow to appreciate such things.  I know lots of kids love store bought stuff, of course, how could they not?   But hopefully they learn to love crafts, made by hand, that take time and thought.
Anyway, I put together jellybean bracelets, packaged them, and slapped a cute little label on them.  The label features Bugaboo Stamps Bunny and Chick Topper.  I'm sure they enjoyed them - who can resist a Jelly Belly?  That's it for today....thanks for stopping by.

Girl with Heart Balloons

Hello all and Happy Tuesday!  I've been in bed for a couple weeks with a respiratory infection - and I'm still exhausted!!  But I'm here to share a card for this weeks challenge at Catch the Bug blog which is ANYTHING GOES!!
I did one of those die cut gate folds from Splitcoaststampers tutorial found here.  It closes with a tuck under the circle/heart.
The picture makes it look like the opening is crooked, but it was die cut and looks pretty good IRL.  I always like anything goes - since it makes it easier to make a card with a purpose.  This was obviously for Valentine's Day.
Another project for Valentine's Day are these little origami pockets for the girls' teachers.  I found the super simple folding instructions on Pinterest.  All of these feature Bugaboo Stamps' Make it Snappy Girl Valentines Day.  This image also comes without a sentiment so you can personalize with your own sentiment.  So join in this week if you can!!

Snowman Gift Card Holder with Bugaboo Stamps

Hello all and Happy Thursday!  Well, not so happy in my household since Sprout has yet another cold...but lets not dwell on that.  Instead, I would like to share an old but still much loved Bugaboo Stamp creation:
This is made from a little white paper bag (I have several from years ago that I've been meaning to put to good use) and features Bugaboo Stamps Christmas Trio Blocks.  There are two pockets.
One pocket is for the gift card, and the other is for a personalized note.  I'm trying to make gift cards more "fun" this year.  So, that's all for me today.  Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful day.

Snowman Envelope with Bugaboo Stamps

Hello all and Happy Monday!  Today I'm sharing an "ABC" - Anything But a Card.  I like to do my Christmas shopping early, as well as have things "wrapped" as soon as possible.  I know it looks like a card but....
Well, nowadays you can order a gift "card" online that is actually a piece of paper you print out.  So how do you make a cute little gift card holder for a piece of paper?  You can easily put it in a card or a plain envelope....but I thought I'd jazz up an envelope instead.
So just another idea on gift giving.
I'm featuring the adorable Bugaboo Stamps' Cute Snowman.  The plan is to present this with a container of cookies.  So, that's all for me.  Thank you for stopping by and have a great day.

Baby Blocks Tag with Bugaboo Stamps

Hello and Happy Saturday!  Another week in September, and another cold morning.  I LOVE LOVE LOVE fall.  Anyway, today I'm sharing a tag for this week's Catch the Bug Challenge Blog.  The challenge is Bingo (please visit the challenge blog for the Bingo Card):

I'm going diagonal with Tag, Texture, Circle.  My little tag features Bugaboo Stamps AKV Baby Blocks.  I figure my string meets the "texture" category.  This is for a baby shower we are attending today - and hopefully I'll win a baby shower game!  So join the Challenge this week if you can.
