Thinking Owl Die Cut Card

Hello and hope you had a wonderful weekend.  It was my first weekend in a long time I didn't sleep most of it away!  So I got a few things done, including this card using the latest Paper Play Sketch:
Unfortunately, a young woman at my church is going through a rough time, so I'm putting together a little basket on behalf of the church and this card to go along with it.  The owl is from Cricut Paisley Cachemire, and the sentiment is from SU's Teeny Tiny Wishes.  That's all for today.  Thanks for stopping by!

This will also be entered in the following: Crafting With Friends: Anything Goes, and Simply Papercraft: Anything Goes.

Mushrooms Yumm

OK, I've never actually eaten a mushroom my entire life. Believe it or not, it is possible to be almost 40...I mean OVER 30, and never have one of these in your mouth.

Of course, the real ones aren't quite as colorful as this one. My mushroom is from Cricut cart Paisley Cachemire at 3" out of Magnolia papers. I did a bit of shading...now thinking this could be good as a vintage mushroom...hmmmm. The sentiment is Inkadinkado.

There are plenty of pop-dots on this but I still feel it's missing something. The layout is Card Patterns #71 which looks fairly CAS, but I think I could have spiffed it up a little more. Well, back to the drawing board with this one.

OWH Birthday

Well, I'm still making cards for Operation Write Home. I have my first box ready to go, but haven't had a chance to go to the post office. I need to do that soon! Here's the first card for box #2.
Just something quick since Bean wasn't in the mood for quiet time. Details: Paper Studio DP, SU ribbon, ladybug is from Cricut Cart Paisley Cachemire cut at 1 3/4".
If you have extra cards or want to make something for OWH, it really is a good cause. I'm actually using the layout from OWH Stars and Stamps. This also meets the Paper Sundaes challenge #24 - birthday!

Happy New Year

I hope every one had a great Christmas and safe new year. Just a quick post to share my stylin' zebra with you. I got lots of goodies this year, including the Paisley Cachemire cart.
There are some really cute cuts as well as some "what the heck would I use this for?" cuts. So I took one of the "what the hecks" to challenge myself.
I used Ranger Tea ink to shade just about everything. I also thought a googly eye worked better than the die cut eye. He is cut at 3" and I used plenty of pop dots.
I tried to make it look like he was driving along the edge of the card. You can see it more from the side. Again, happy New Year and I hope to get back to many fun challenges in the new year.
