Tall Mushroom with Doodle Pantry

Hello and Happy Tuesday!  Today I'm sharing a card made for a family friend going through a hard time.  Seems I've been needing more of these cards lately...really allows me to appreciate the calm in my life, making me strong for my next adventure I'm sure.
I'm using Doodle Pantry's Tall Trio.  The grass is Cricut Cart Zooballoo at 1.75".  I kept this simple without an outside sentiment.  That's all for today and I thank you for stopping by.

A Bug's Life

Hello and Happy Saturday.  The latest challenge at Catch the Bug is:
A BUG'S LIFE
And I attempted a fancy fold on this one:
My image is Birdhouse - Beehive, the grass is Cricut's Zooballoo (2.5"), the phrase is Create a Critter (2") with a George tag (2.75").
This was kind of fun to make.  Here's a side view to see the steps better.

Splash Step Card

Hello and Happy Saturday! Today a new challenge has been set at Catch the Bug:

SPLASH!

This is my first attempt at a Center Step Card:

I've been seeing these all over the place so I just had to give it a go! I know, I know, a little plain and simple, but it's for Rhys' 4th birthday (and kids don't mind). Oh my! I should have added a "4" somewhere! Well, I think I will do that before giving it to him.

Papers are just plain CS, sentiment is Stampin' Ups Teeny Tiny Wishes, and the fab Bugaboo image is Sunbonnet Fish 2 colored with Copics and PrismaPremier markers. Oh, and the water is paper pieced and the waves are from Zoobaloo (cut to length at 5 3/4").

So watcha think? I wasn't completely comfortable with this fold, but now that I've done it once, I think it's a keeper!

Thanks so much for stopping by and don't forget to enter your water fun project at Catch the Bug!!

Father's Day with The Character Cafe

Hello all and welcome to this Friday's Character Cafe Challenge. This week, we are looking for:

Father's Day with Embossing
I used the lovely Owlies from the Cafe Store, colored with Prismas. I printed the set in two different sizes so I could have a Daddy and a Baby owl. They are perched on a tree branch from Zoobaloo (lower/layer at 2") Cricut cart, inked with Walnut Stain and Peeled Paint Ranger Inks. The "Daddy" sentiment (which is much darker IRL) is a handmade rub-on using a transparency sheet and my printer. The paper is from K&Co Wild Saffron.

OK, so my embossing is the one on the nesties...only because I forgot to add it but realized I did indeed emboss the edges.

This card meets the following challenges:
So join us this week for a chance to win a free digi from the Cafe Store. Also, don't forget to visit the rest of the DT for more inspiration. Their blogs are to the right ---->

Pink Elephant with AiFactory

Hello all and welcome to Thursday with AiFactory. Today, the DT is working with a set of brushes and the challenge this week is:
ANYTHING GOES
Brushes can be used in a variety of ways, and I have chosen to make my own patterned paper.

We were also challenged to meet as many challenges as possible, so I will list those at the end. For this card, I used the ZooBalloo Cricut cart for the elephant (3" on shadow and silhouette), and the dots embossing folder in the Cuttlebug. Both the solid green and the patterned paper were made in Word - I wanted to make sure they matched so that's why I made the solid paper too. I added ribbon, sewing, and popdots.
So head on over to AiFactory to see all the changes that are going on and to enter this weeks challenge. You have until Wednesday, April 7th at 11:00pm EST to be eligible for the brushes/flourishes prize and a chance to be a guest designer.

One Layout, Two Cards

Back to Clean and Simple....well, I'm attempting to do each layout. So, this is for FTL3 (Fall-to-Layout 3). I really like this one. Not just for the speed of putting together a card, but for the diversity.
My first card is made using the elephant from the ZooBalloo cricut cart. I cut this at 2 1/2" and again using the outline feature.

I used my cropadile for the eyes, using black cardstock and glaze.

The only inking/shading is on the outline. I used pop dots under the little guy, added ribbon, and the sentiment is from Inkadinkado.

My second card uses a stamp from Stampin' Ups Chic Boutique.
Same layout, but I think they look very different. I think the baby card looks much more whimsical than the thank you card.
