Love Banner

Hello all and Happy Tuesday!  I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.  I've never been big on Valentine's Day, but with two girls, I can't help but to decorate and do things for my girls.  I've seen these banners all over the web and I tell myself "I want to make one" and never do.  Well, this year I did it!!
I used Cricut Celebrations for the banner at 5", George hearts at 1 3/4", and Mickey Font at 1 3/4".  Using Beanie as my inspiration, I even went and got fine glitter for the letters.
I hate glitter, but she loved it.  Now, I don't know if there's a technique to these banners, but I'll tell ya, I used a LOT of glue.  But it'll never come apart!  So that is my share for today.  I thank you for stopping by and hope you have a wonderful day!

Dino Birthday

Hello all and Happy Tuesday.  Quick share of a new release at Bugaboo Stamps!
I saw him and immediately saw a balloon in his hands.  I used Cricut Celebrations at 2" with shadow, added twine and the sentiment is Stampin' Up's Petite Pairs.  I went CAS for the challenge at 4CraftyChicks.  I will also be sharing this with Inspire me Fridays (a good blog to find great non-card creations too!).

Sprout's First Birthday Card

Hello all and hope you're having a wonderful day.  I shared the fact that we didn't get around to having a party for Sprout's first birthday.  But that doesn't mean we didn't have a cake and card!
The cards are important to me because I fill them out completely, with thoughts, memories, milestones, and wishes.  I put them in a box - nope, the girls never even get to see them - and all these cards will be handed over to them when they are 18.  At least that's the plan!
So the outside uses Cricut Cart Celebrations for the Candle #1 (5") and the "st" is from Mickey Font (1" plus shadow).  The sentiment is Stampin' Up's Teeny Tiny Wishes.  The inside uses a fabulous monkey from Melonheadz - I usually refer to Sprout as Monster Child or Lil' Monkey - plus most accessories out there have monkeys on them this season.
Here's the birthday girl.  A good friend of mine surprised us with a gorgeous cake (yup, we forgot to get a cake ourselves), and my mom made her a felt birthday crown.  So my baby DID get a birthday party!

Birthday Bear

Hello and welcome to Friday with The Character Cafe. The challenge this week over at the challenge blog is:

ROUND CARD

This is my all time favorite TCC digistamp...I've used it several times. I think I've gotten better at coloring him too.
So all the kids are turning 3 (Bean already is), and I wanted to make a special card for her cousin. OK, now ask me if I ever made Bean a card...no, I didn't. But I HAVE to because I write my memories for that year and/or my hopes. Then, when Bean is older...I'm thinking after high school, she hopefully will read them and appreciate them.
Deets: TCC digistamp colored with Prismas, round nesties, sewing, bling, Celebrations Cricut cart for the "3" cut at 2 3/4" (regular and shadow).

So play along this week with your ROUND CARD and enter it at the Challenge Blog for your chance to win! Also, I hope you'll take a look at the rest of the DT (blogs on the right) for more inspiration!

Stacked Presents

So this was made for me:
A stacked planter that inspired this card:
I used the stacked presents cut at 4 1/4" from the Celebrations cart. Once on shadow in black, and twice on DP (one orange and one purple) so I could have different color presents. I cut the "shift" for the orange strips, cut off the very top bow with my scissors and added a real ribbon bow instead.
Of course I used pop-dots, and added rhinestones at the tops of all the packages. The stamp is Stampin' Up using Ranger marmalade ink. The circle is George cut at 4 1/4" and zigzag stitched onto the orange background.
Can you believe we are already at the end of July? Don't be surprised if I start posting Christmas cards soon...yes, I'm already working on some now.

Flowers of Friendship

Made this card over the weekend. I used the Celebrations cart for the vase and flowers. First in blue on blackout feature - so the flowers would have blue centers, then shift in pink for just the flowers (without the vase). I used my chalk inks to shade the vase and flowers, then added glaze to the flowers for shine.
I don't remember the name of this paper pack, but it's really bright with lots of pinks, blues, browns, and greens. The card base is from the Stampin' Up "in colors" papers - I won it as a door prize at the last card class I went to. Woo-hoo, second time I've won!

I added a little ribbon (from the $1 bin at Michaels), the friendship stamp is Fiskars, and pop-dots of course!
Thanks for taking a peek.
