Stand Tall Pineapple Card

Hello! So close to the weekend, not that I have any plans, but I just really feel I need a break.  With school starting so soon, I feel overwhelmed....but I don't know with what!  We have most of the supply shopping done, and all the clothes purchased, but I feel like I should be doing something.

I guess this is anxiety.

But today I'm sharing a card I made with a new Sizzix die I recently purchased with some birthday money from my dad.
This is for my little cousin who is currently going through a lot at the moment.  I know the outside seems a little plain but just wait - plus, I loved that it came with the perfect sentiment too.
The card opens so cute.  I did have trouble with those "marks" or "indentations" or whatever, left when the die goes through the Cuttlebug - know what I mean?  Not sure if there is a secret to avoid those, but they are more noticeable on the inside.  So I wrote my message on the white areas to cover up all the wrinkles/marks/indentations.

So that's it for me.  I'm off to worry about stuff that doesn't currently exist.

You Bring the Sunshine with Papercraft Business

Hello and welcome to August!  Wow, there goes summer and in comes school for my little people.  We are always so excited with back to school shopping and really, just getting back to routine makes us all happier.

Anyway, for today, I'm sharing a card for the latest Papercraft Business August Challenge: Summer!

Just so happens I ordered a kit from Simon Says Stamp for the very first time, and inside was the perfect stamp and sentiment.  I used the papers, stamps, and sequins.  I also tried my best at the whole watercolor craze that's been out for a while - I'm pretty late to the game, but I actually really enjoyed it.
The sunglasses are an additional stamp that I glazed for fun.  So don't forget the Papercraft Business Challenge runs all month long!

This meets the following challenges: Digi Choosday: Anything Goes, Through The Craft Room Door: Anything Goes, Crafting From the Heart: Anything Goes, and Simon Says: Make Your Own Background (water colored).

Chibi Reindeer Christmas Card

Hello and hope you are having a wonderful day.  I'm a little tired so I've got a short post for you today - had lots of dental work yesterday and it always gives me such anxiety, but hopefully tomorrow I'll be feeling back to normal.

I just want to send a reminder about the Catch the Bug Christmas in July event going on this week.  There are challenges every day this week.

My card isn't for a challenge, but it's still a Christmas card featuring Bugaboo Stamps Chibi Reindeer.  I think he's just the cutest.  The sentiment is from a Stampin Up Paper Pumpkin kit.  Fairly simple layout.  And that's it from me!

This meets the following challenges:  Christmas at Sweet Stampin: Anything Goes, Crafty Gals Corner: Christmas in July, Crafty Creations: Anything Goes, and Simon Says: Anything Goes.

Penguin Candycane Christmas Card

Hello and welcome to Christmas in July with Bugaboo Stamps.  This is a week full of inspiration and challenges at Catch the Bug Challenge Blog that kicks off today with Baby It's Cold Outside.  Thinking of this, I thought of snowmen and penguins - both of which Bugaboo Stamps have plenty of adorable images!!

For my card, I'm featuring Bugaboo Stamps Candy Cane Penguin.  The designer paper has Let it Snow in glitter, so I will be finding glitter all over my work area and face for the next month!  This paper is actually from a stack of card kits I got from my Aunt when she passed away a few years ago - and this is the first time I have used one of her kits.  I went with a simple design, copic colored, and a little glaze.  I like to keep my cards as flat as possible for mailing, but I did use plenty of pop-dots on the image and sentiment.

I hope you get a chance to join in, all week long.  Great way to get a jump start on Christmas cards!  Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend.

This card meets the following challenges:  Papercraft Challenges: Christmas in July, Shopping Our Stash: Christmas in July, Through the Craft Room Door: Anything Goes, and Christmas at Sweet Stampin': Anything Goes Christmas.

Party Hat Fun Card

Hello and Happy Friday!  Wow, this summer has been such a whirlwind of fun and exhaustion!  These are the days that make me look forward to fall, back to school, and routine.

For today, I would like to share a rather simple "guy" card.
Yes, there is sequins, but I really couldn't help myself.  But I still think it's definitely masculine looking.  Very simple card and short post!  Have a wonderful weekend!

This meets the following challenges: Watercooler Wednesday: Masculine Anything Goes, Cardz TV: Anything Goes #56, Always Happy Birthday: Anything Goes with option of Birthday Cake, and Digi Choosday: Anything Goes.

Miss Oddleigh Catrina From the Heart

Hello and I hope you are enjoying the second week of July!  I really do believe time flies and it's flying faster than ever before.  Getting older really makes me think about my girls and how one day they will be on their own....but let's stop there before my allergies make my eyes water beyond control.

So back to today...I'm sharing a card for The Corrosive Challenge Blog's July Anything Goes challenge:
Isn't this stamp, Miss Oddleigh Catrina from LeighSBDesigns, just the best?  Makes me want to create some sugar skulls and put up some ofrendas (offerings).  And the sentiment is from Cardz TV Stamps, a set I won and am thoroughly enjoying - they stamp beautifully.  I made the image large because I felt she really needed to be the focal point, which covered up my paper, so I added a little on the inside just for fun.

Anyway, thank you for taking a look at my latest creation and have a wonderful day.  Don't forget, you have all month to join in the anything goes challenge!

This meets the following challenges: Cardz TV #55: Anything Goes, A Perfect Time to Craft July Challenge: Anything Goes, Crafts Galore Encore: Anything Goes, and Classic Design Team July Challenge: Anything Goes (must be on DT),

Annies Art for Papercraft Business

Hello and hope all is well.  Today I am sharing a card for the new Papercraft Business July Challenge: Anything Goes!  Always a favorite and super easy challenge.
This Tiddly Inks image, Annie's Art (currently FREE), was chosen specifically for my mom because she is quite creative, and the paint spat die cut in black is Sizzix.  We try to attend at least one Paint Nite every couple of months - and if you have never been to a Paint Nite, you have got to give it a try!  It is so much fun!!

Again, the challenge is anything goes and the winner will receive a Magnolia Tilda doily.  Plus, the challenge lasts all month long!  Thanks so much for taking a look and have a wonderful day.

This meets the following challenges: Crafting With An Attitude: Anything Goes, Tiddly Inks: Anything Goes with a TI image, and Watercooler Wednesday: Anything Goes Feminine.
